Lawyers for former Hillary Clinton campaign lawyer Michael Sussmann are furious at Special Counsel John Durham for describing an effort to spy on President Donald Trump while in office — and cited Breitbart News coverage in their response.
On Friday Durham filed a motion about the defense lawyers’ potential conflict of interest, including efforts to mine data about cell phone communications around Trump Tower, Trump’s private residence, and the Executive Office of the President in an effort to create a narrative about Russian “collusion”:
The Government’s evidence at trial will also establish that among the Internet data Tech Executive-1 and his associates exploited was domain name system (“DNS”) Internet traffic pertaining to (i) a particular healthcare provider, (ii) Trump Tower, (iii) Donald Trump’s Central Park West apartment building, and (iv) the Executive Office of the President of the United States (“EOP”). (Tech Executive-1’s employer, Internet Company-1, had come to access and maintain dedicated servers for the EOP as part of a sensitive arrangement whereby it provided DNS resolution services to the EOP. Tech Executive-1 and his associates exploited this arrangement by mining the EOP’s DNS traffic and other data for the purpose of gathering derogatory information about Donald Trump.)
On Monday, Durham’s lawyers responded, not only dismissing concerns about a conflict of interest but denying the allegations and complaining that they were prejudicial to their client’s case. They cited media coverage in conservative news sources — since the establishment media ignored the story — and included Breitbart News’ own coverage as an example.

Sucks when the rules that you’ve been abusing for so long are used against you.
i’ll help...
I am assuming that EOP stands for “Executive Office of the President”.
I would further assume that the Internet Company has a legal duty to protect the privacy of its clients. Perhaps then we are seeing Durham establishing a conspiracy to commit fraud against the EOP.
This would then motivate Sussman to claim that he had no knowledge that fraud was committed to obtain the information that he delivered to the FBI.
The FBI will find itself claiming to be more incompetent than the Keystone Kops in claiming that they had no idea that a conspiracy against the President was occurring.
It would appear that some agents of the FBI had clear indications that somebody was spying on the President of the United States. Did they open an investigation of this spying? Or did they simply join the conspiracy?
When's he going to open the bombay door and let the bombs fly?
I believe Durham is required to make court filings. I believe these filings are public information. Durham isn’t leaking to the press etc.
I dont think Durham can be fired anymore than Mueller could have been fired. It would create the ‘Saturday night massacre’ scenario.
Something about taking flak when you are directly over the target.
Has Crabby Old Cabbage Smelling Presidential Candidate-1 had anything to say about this?
Or Durham did release the info to taint the trials....no one goes to Jail but Clinton and allies are also checkmated with the info release... by whatever worse fiends the deepstate is wanting to replace them with...KLaus Schwab’s group perhaps?
Clinton will say “you Obamas did stuff too and I will name names and say where the bodies are buried.” No way she goes down without taking others with her.
This I believe was one grand plot involving the FBI, some in the CIA and the Clinton campaign. I remember Strzok telling page Trump would never be president. Page said Trump wouldn’t be President correct, Strzok said “ no no no we will stop it”.
Agreed. I know many here are frustrated with the slow pace of Durham’s investigation but if he is really sincere about pursuing this to its source, he needs to dot every “i” and cross every “t”. Many of his targets will have some of the best legal representation available for their defense. Durham has to make sure there are no holes in any of his findings. The tighter his cases are, the less likely the DOJ will be able to ignore them.
Sussmann’s lawyer’s reactions to Durham filing just proves Sussmann’s and Hillary’s guilt!
Holy Crap!!!
This wasn't a hack! The company hired to provide supposedly secure internet service to POTUS was feeding information to Hillary's campaign! That company should pay BILLIONS in fines and its management should spend years in prison for espionage.
Durham was initially appointed to investigate these matters in April 2019. He was appointed Special Counsel in December 2020.
Understood but my question was what cases did he prosecute in his career before this.
