Lawyers for former Hillary Clinton campaign lawyer Michael Sussmann are furious at Special Counsel John Durham for describing an effort to spy on President Donald Trump while in office — and cited Breitbart News coverage in their response.
On Friday Durham filed a motion about the defense lawyers’ potential conflict of interest, including efforts to mine data about cell phone communications around Trump Tower, Trump’s private residence, and the Executive Office of the President in an effort to create a narrative about Russian “collusion”:
The Government’s evidence at trial will also establish that among the Internet data Tech Executive-1 and his associates exploited was domain name system (“DNS”) Internet traffic pertaining to (i) a particular healthcare provider, (ii) Trump Tower, (iii) Donald Trump’s Central Park West apartment building, and (iv) the Executive Office of the President of the United States (“EOP”). (Tech Executive-1’s employer, Internet Company-1, had come to access and maintain dedicated servers for the EOP as part of a sensitive arrangement whereby it provided DNS resolution services to the EOP. Tech Executive-1 and his associates exploited this arrangement by mining the EOP’s DNS traffic and other data for the purpose of gathering derogatory information about Donald Trump.)
On Monday, Durham’s lawyers responded, not only dismissing concerns about a conflict of interest but denying the allegations and complaining that they were prejudicial to their client’s case. They cited media coverage in conservative news sources — since the establishment media ignored the story — and included Breitbart News’ own coverage as an example.

The lawyers claim that Durham’s filing will taint the jury pool and asked the court to strike, or delete, the “factual background” portion.
Sussmann is charged with lying to the FBI when he allegedly concealed that he was representing the Clinton campaign. He has pleaded not guilty.
I tend to think that Durham is a ducks-in-a-row kind of guy - he wouldn’t say or write anything that wasn’t 100% accurate.
He, and others, are going to prison!
Well then, let's find out the real story during discovery. He must have gotten the story from someone else, who was that person and what was Sussmann told about the story by that person?
I think (hope would be closer to the truth) that this is why Durham is going so incredibly slowly. He has to make sure that absolutely every detail is exactly nailed down, because he knows that if he is wrong even in the placement of a single comma, the other side will use that tiny error to dismiss his entire investigation, and the MSM and the courts will agree and throw the whole thing out.
Agreed, its just aggravating how long the process has taken.
Upset cot?
Has anyone else heard that and know any thing about it?
Any rumors about what they're finding? Sentiment?
That is the only way we the people recover our government and nation.
Ah, the squealing of cornered rats. It is delicious, like the growing light of dawn upon the American horizon.
Maybe these scumbag lawyers just need thier very own Criminal Indictment
Is this not, by itself, a crime?
Too effing bad, Mr. Attorney.
They’ll really be upset at the hanging.
Is this not, by itself, a crime?
Espionage.
Three words will usually shut a defense lawyers right up:
WE HAVE WITNESSES...............................
