The right-wing firebrand laughed off comments made during an interview with One American Network (OAN) complaining House Speaker Pelosi was secretly investigating members of Congress and constituents.
“Not only do we have the D.C. jail, which is the D.C. gulag,” said Rep. Greene in a now-viral video. “Now we have Nancy Pelosi’s gazpacho police spying on members of Congress, spying on the legislative work that we do, spying on our staff and spying on American citizens that want to come to talk with their representatives.”
After being roundly mocked for confusing the Gestapo, the official secret police of Nazi Germany and in German-occupied Europe with gazpacho, a cold tomato soup often served with cucumbers and cilantro, Greene surfaced on social media on Thursday morning.

AOC would not be laughing at herself.
‘character assignation?’ Did you just type ‘character assignation?’ You must be the ignorant. Surely. you don’t expect a medal or forgiveness for making such an ignorant public mistake. You should be dismissed from all society for using the wrong word.
Do you see how ridiculous that is for a mispronunciation or using the wrong word? I would say it must be nice to be perfect, except we can all see you’re not.
“Funny how the liberal media themselves were so quick to make the jump from “gazpacho” to “Gestapo” though, isn’t it . . . ?”
Really? You think she was referring to Cold Tomato soup police?
The bigger story missed here is what she is saying is NUTS. The fact that she misspelled it is just to be expected
Wasn’t a spelling error. She said it in an interview.
Federal lack of law enforcement is the Gazpacho to me from this date forward. What should we call the deprivation of rights under color of law enforcement.
Good example!
Gazpacho is a dish best served cold.
Please explain. When the commander of Bastogne said "Nuta!" to the German surrender demand?
To most mammals, celery is a very powerful smelling plant, on par with freshly cut garlic. Even though the human gene to smell celery is mostly disabled, it can can still give an almost allergic response if consumed after vigorous exercise, or by consuming a lot in a short time.
The original Olive Garden Restaurant, different from the one today, could achieve this with their Gazpacho, which had celery leaf, celery stalk, celery root, celery juice and celery seed oil.
I don’t know, by goofing it up the media cannot resist correcting her, making her point that they are Gestapo, rather than censoring her, which is what they would have done had she said Gestapo from the start. Trump does this thing too, making the press cover something they would normally ignore or omit.
Your point isnt any less true. It seems that those that tend to pick on spelling tend to have the least of anything meaningful to add and no valid rebuttal to the point being made.
Especially when its someone picking on another typing quick responses on a keyboard to a forum. Ive noticed that as of late even around here Im seeing a lot of misspellings and mangled sentences from from people that I know are well educated and discussing subjects they know. Ive noticed that on my phone it seems that whole phrases that I know Ive previously edited out seem to reappear when posting.
Cooties? Bad keyboards from sitting inside for two years? Demons? Could it be aliens? (GAT) It could be. (/GAT)
Irregardless of the reason that it might be happening to most, I like to use imaginary words like potatoe and strategery especially when I discover that it supposably irks some of the uptight readers around here.
(LOL)
(Gotta get your jollies somewhere.)
I think I will now add “the Gazpacho” also. That will certainly get under the skin of certain ninnies around here.
Unless she typed in "nazi secret police" to her phone's search and her phone autocorrected "gestapo."
“nuts” not nuta
I didn’t say that. I was commenting on what’s in the heads of the lib media screedwriters.
Or when Obama said corpse-men instead of core-men. As if these dunderhead cretins in the propaganda media even know where Kazakhstan is located. Total hypocrites.
Stasi ... Starchy, same thing.
“Unless she typed in “nazi secret police” to her phone’s search and her phone autocorrected “gestapo.””
Really? We want political leaders who don’t know the difference between a fascist police department who terrorized their fellow citizens and a cold tomato soup?
I remember when Republicans were smart. Now we have a bunch of Republican AOCs.
.................................................
Yeah, well we currently have a bunch of “smart” RINOs who are not fit to lick MTG’s underwear or DJT’s boots! Do I need to name them for you?
“I didn’t say that. I was commenting on what’s in the heads of the lib media screedwriters.”
What were those screedwriters supposed to have thought?
