In a February 5 editorial, "The GOP Censures Liz Cheney," The Wall Street Journal indicated that its ongoing nostalgia for the Bushies still clouds its political judgment. The editorial insisted that the censure by the Republican National Committee of the turncoat representatives Cheney and Kinzinger will be detrimental to GOP chances in the midterm congressional elections, later this year. Why? In a squib highlighting the editorial's main point, the suggestion is that the RNC's censure is "dividing" Republicans and, thereby, will hand the Democrats victory in the congressional midterms.
What nonsense. Those "Republicans" in Liz Cheney's corner are, more than likely, NeverTrump people who, since 2016, have gotten used to voting against Republicans -- to the point where they have placed the Oval Office in the hands of the most incompetent presidents since James Buchanan, if not ever.
Thank heavens -- the fact is that the Bush family's hold on the GOP ended with Jeb Bush's failure as presidential candidate in 2016, and, as this US News story reports, the RNC vote to censure Cheney and Kinzinger makes it clear that Trumpians -- conservative populists -- control today's Republican Party. Now that may not please The Wall Street Journal, but it informs U.S. political reality. Note well: RINOs are not to be found among GOP conservative populists.

Paul Gigot was the liberal republican who was the "conservative" voice on PBS. He was replaced at PBS by "I love Obama's pants crease" David Brooks, who, like Gigot, just nods his head in agreement at everything the democrat commentators say.
Thanks to those like Gigot, the WSJ had gone from a once great paper and enjoyable read to a tiny square Establishment rag.
OF COURSE they're upset that the RNC rebuked the phony Republicans Cheney and Kinzinger.
WSJ - GOPe all the way.
On the other hand because the Cheney/Kinzinger thing is so politically clarifying this pretty much confirms what many have suspected about the WSJ for years.
The WSJ isn’t with sht. They are a mouthpiece for NBC
“...the RNC’s censure is “dividing” Republicans and, thereby, will hand the Democrats victory in the congressional midterms.”
Not like GOPe losers like Cheney, Colin Powell, the Bush family, and their sycophants in the media eever did anything to divide the Republican party. They don’t like it that they are becoming the minority and perhaps completely out of the party altogether.
GOPe had their chance to stand up to the demonkraps for decades when there were still some liberals in that party. But Trump unintentionally exposed the GOPe depth and allegiances for all to see. The demonkraps have been radicalized (there are no more “moderates” with influence on that party to moderate itself, not even political snake Manchin) and the GOPe still wants to work with their friends across the aisle.
Well then, I censure the WSJ censure of the GOP censure of Liz Cheney....
The WSJ never was for the people, only the Worldwide Communist Party.
The WSJ has always been a corporate/globalist mouthpiece that never represented American values.
The WSJ editorial pages have gone the way of the American Spectator magazine and the once useful National Review. The good news is there are plenty of emerging sources for conservative/libertarian content, from right here at FR to Tucker to podcasts to some emerging radio personalities. Things change.
Gigot is a pantywaist.
Maybe Liz can go work for CNN. Oh wait, they are now defunct.
The WSJ has been the mouthpiece for Bush League Republicans for decades.
Open borders/amnesty has been the top priority of Bush League Republicans for 30 years.
The entire purpose of the GOP since the Bush League took over in 1989 has been to block the citizens from stopping the Bush Plan for North Mexico (aka USA).
I canceled my wsj subscription. So should everyone
I cancelled my not inexpensive WSJ subscription in 1999 when it declared our borders should be open.
