FALLS CHURCH, Va. (AP) — A Virginia Senate committee has killed two key pieces of education legislation sought by Republican Gov. Glenn Youngkin, including one that was designed to eliminate teaching of critical race theory in K-12 schools.
The committee on Thursday also killed a bill that would have made it easier to create charter schools in parts of the state.

If, as they claim, that CRT does not exist then WHY do they care if Youngkin wants to eliminate it? According to them it does not exist.
They usually claim that CRT is not taught in schools but that bills like this would have a chilling effect on any discussion of racial issues at all, because people would claim discussion of racial issues was CRT and file lawsuits.
CRT may not be taught as such in schools but it certainly shapes the curriculum and the minds of many teachers.
Just rule by fiat like they do.

Changing a state requires working at multiple levels.
It starts with the local village council, the county board, the schoolboard and the elected county sheriff. Once the county municipal governments are under control, the control of the state legislature becomes easier.
People get what they vote for...
It doesn’t seem they do.
This will not end well for the D’s... but they have two more years to play their games.
It’s OK we have a number of other tools to turn the screws on anyone who practices CRT in Virginia.
