Capitol Hill staffers have been anonymously airing their frustrations about pay so low they sometimes qualify for public aid and members of Congress whose masks come off behind the scenes on the account 'Dear White Staffers.'
The account, which brands itself as 'Congressional BIPOC s**tposters on Capitol Hill,' shares salacious stories of members who mistreat their staff, amid a campaign to unionize that has attracted the approval of House Speaker Nancy Pelosi and Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez.
Asked about the account in her weekly news conference, Pelosi initially declined. Later asked again about staffers' push to unionize, the speaker said: 'Well, we just unionized at the [Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee], and I supported that.'
To the account Instagram users who work on Capitol Hill submit stories of long hours, starting off on wages below $30,000 that prompt them to apply for food stamps, toxic environments and requests for personal favors from their bosses.
Latino Rebels' Pablo Manriquez reported that members' offices are conducting meetings sternly warning their staff against submitting content to the account.

Feinstein beats that, she’s casting votes from the grave!
What the actual heck?
My sister was a staffer back in the 90’s. She did some of that (she would get her bosses dry cleaning and occasionally drive his wife and kids someplace if she was going anyway), but these is nuts.
Read some of the source material. If this happened in any non coastal company, you would have heads rolling by the end of the day.
Young lady, you got the job because the party owes your rich daddy a favor. Get him to up your allowance, or go get a real job, if you can.
They WANT these jobs for the experience and for their resumes. long hours? Yea, work is hard. personal favors like driving to a grocery store, sounds tough, very abusive. I guess they are mandated to work, can't quit and take the thousands of other posted jobs in D.C.
I’m sorry but is being called ‘babe’ or driving your boss to the store when your job is to be a glorified personal assistant that big a deal?
i can see this being a problem with most of the staffers on boths sides of the Hill.
Congress members think they are above it all and the rest of us are toadies.
They pay their dues in in a few short years are card carrying members of the swamp with all the perks and pay.
Angry leftist millenial snowflakes out to destroy Manchin and Sinema the only way they know how - through social media snark and innuendo.
i havent gone to the account to see what the deal is but the excerpts show that this isnt just about them.
It isnt a surprise that the awful Democratic Indian woman has a toxic office. she is just terrible. She probably treats her staffers like they do the low caste people in India.
I should ask my assistant wash and iron my shirts.
My sister worked there when Gringrich was speaker.
The congressman she worked for was a freshman, and started out as a down to earth man. Sis left after two years, and the congressman got sucked in to the mess. Ended up getting divorced, and left in a haze of suspicion.
My sister did talk about how some of the big names in the used interns like servants.
I do not respect a man or woman who refuses to take care of things themselves.
When I had interns, one complained that I was treating her badly.
Until HR told her to pay attention to what I was doing. The day I came back covered in goo and smelling like dog vomit, she realized that I was doing the hard parts.
Working in food manufacturing was a treat.
“If this happened in any non coastal company,”
You are correct. However, some animals are more equal than others. Ditto insider trading, ivermectin, etc.
They have it so tough. I’m glad I only had to go to Vietnam. That was a breeze compared to what these poor put-on poli-sci majors have to face.
They need to resign for the good of the country and have the Republican governors replace them
Lol
What did you do in food manufacturing?
