The fear mongers and scared liberals love to point out people wearing masks in the 1918 influenza epidemic.
But all mask ordinances, if any, were local.

"...and the state legislature would have to debate and approve laws requiring masks in schools and other places."
That won't be a problem since both houses of the New York State Legislature, are an overwhelmingly Democrat majority.

Just remember that the court system is backward in New York. The lowest level of court is the “Supreme Court.”

Hochul’s mask mandate was unenforceable anyway. 41 of 65 New York State counties openly defied her and said they would not enforce it.
Even the NYC suburbs in Long Island and Westchester would not cooperate.

Knowing the people of New York, they will be wearing them until August of 2056.

It’s a violation of civil Rights, State laws, State Constitutions, the limits of Federal power, and common sense.
Next up, judges will rule on whether or not water is in fact wet.

Last month, Governor Kathy Hochul enacted the mandate
Why did it take a month?
It's good that the judge got it right, but why did it take so long to simply say she never had the authority?
Meanwhile "the System" let this un-democratic monster & her big-mouth minions control the narrative for a month ... that's pathetic

The New York State Supreme Court on Monday struck down the Hochul Administration’s statewide mask mandate as unconstitutional and a violation of state law. No..."the" NY Supreme Court did not. In NY, the "Supreme Court" is one of the trial court levels. This was a single judge.
To: Betty Jane
Maybe the judges are walking around, going grocery shopping parties, beach, etc free as birds and are saying wtf.
To: Betty Jane
So, the mandate to use a useless mask is also unconstitutional.
Sounds like total DemocRAT stuff there.
War is coming. With Russia? Hope not.
With DemocRATs? Hope so.
