The Food and Drug Administration on Monday significantly restricted the use of a pair of monoclonal antibody treatments for COVID-19 because they are ineffective against the omicron.
The agency said the therapies made by Eli Lilly and Regeneron should only be used in patients that have been infected with or exposed to a variant that is susceptible to the treatments.

You are correct - both vaccines and masks “are ineffective against the omicron”, so we should hear the news soon that the FDA is significantly restricting their use, too (especially if Florida wants to use them).
I want to SECOND that. My best friend of 35 years was in good health and died fighting COVID. I was only sick for two days (we both had Delta).
The difference - he delayed for several days and I got right on it. I had the antibodies within 6 hours of testing positive at home), and I started "horse paste" that night.

So if you are an "at risk" person and they happen to do genetic sequencing, it will take time and, by then, it will probably be too late for the MAB to be effective.

When people test + and are sick- variant testing is NOT done- so no way of knowing it wouldn’t be effective, and once sick, particularly if ‘at risk’ you need antibody treatment asap. I am sure if they just came right out and told the truth: ‘We really do want you dead”, that not so many people would continue jumping on their damn bandwagon. I am sure there is a special place in hell for these a33wipes and I hope their journey there is very soon.
