Our insane world has hit woke bottom. This is from Fox News:
Penn swimmer Lia Thomas came away with wins in the 100 meter and 200-meter freestyle races against Harvard on Saturday.
The victories came days after NCAA updated its policy for transgender participation and how it will be determined on a sport-by-sport basis.
What did Thomas do? He, and he is a he, shattered women's records. Who knows what women were denied scholarships because of this?
The answer is for men to compete with men and women with women. It's not discrimination. It's common sense.
Let's give a cheer for Texas for understanding that biology makes boys and girls different. A few months ago, Governor Greg Abbott signed House Bill 25:
Texas’ transgender student athletes will be restricted from playing on K-12 school sports teams that align with their gender identity under a bill Gov. Greg Abbott signed into law Monday.
House Bill 25, authored by state Rep. Valoree Swanson, R-Spring, will require student athletes who compete in interscholastic competition to play on sports teams that correspond with the sex listed on their birth certificate at or near their time of birth. It is set to go into effect Jan. 18.
The legislation goes further than current rules from the University Interscholastic League, which governs school sports in Texas. Under current UIL rules, a student’s gender is determined by their birth certificate. But UIL also accepts legally modified birth certificates in which someone may have had their sex changed to align with their gender identity.
The Texas approach makes sense. The NCAA is woke and weak. The NCAA refuses to go the distance and make a statement to protect young women. Again, this is not about discrimination. It's about common sense -- something lacking on the woke side

No one has a “gender identity.” One is either male or female, and these are the 2 sexes.
Gender is masculine/feminine. People have a sex - male or female. Things have a gender.
Nope, the answer is one team per sport. Ladies if you’re good enough, you make the team. If not, well there’ll be a lot of guys rooting in the stands with you.
The true insanity is having to pass a law at all. The University system has been taken over by lunatics. Unless action is taken to fire them more insanity will continue. This is all part of the degradation of standards foisted on us by unelected academics. Gender bending sports is only one facet of this sick aganda.

This is based entirely on the bone structure. It is in no way inflected by the feelings and preferences of the deceased individual regarding the configuration of the plumbing fixtures that they were equipped with, at birth.

Competition is to better yourself and thereby civilization. You want real competition, how about we make these "men" race against greyhounds or wrestle with grizzlies. We don't do that? Why? He’s actually got a girlfriend. Seen pictures of the two mugging for cameras like they’re pulling something off. He’s using the system against the system and parlaying his mediocre male swimming ability to get scholarship support, notoriety and likely commercial endorsement cash in the future. He hasn’t done anything that I’ve been able to determine that would remove his ‘maleness’ and prevent him from returning to that. It’s all about the Benjamins, and the university KNOWS this yet supports ‘her.’
No, that’s not it at all. For all my life I’ve been told that there’s no inherent differences between the sexes, that the concept of “the weaker sex” is a social construct and not a biological reality. Of course if that were true then transgenderism makes no sense, but I digress.
So let’s put that to the test. If there’s no difference, then there’s no need for a men’s swim team and a women’s swim team. Just have one team. The best athletes make the team and the ones who can’t measure up don’t.
How long do you think the feminists would stand for that?

Just as simple as that. If necessary a medical doctor can look at the equipment to make the determination. No changes, no appeals.

The cheater “Lia” should be given a taste of his own medicine. At the next meet, the host school should have its best male swimmers squeeze into women’s swimsuits and blow “Lia” out of the pool.
I wonder if a unisex team would pass muster with Title IX funding?
