New York City Mayor Eric Adams (D) called on lawmakers in Washington, D.C., to pass gun reform after the city announced that one officer had been fatally shot and another remained in critical condition during a shooting in Harlem on Friday evening.

“We don't make guns here. How are we removing thousands of guns off the street, and they still find their way into New York City? In the hands of people who are killers, constantly carbon highways of death, destroying our communities,” Adams said on Friday night. “We need Washington to join us and act now to stop the flow of guns in New York City and cities like New York.”

Yes, but watch the crime rate drop to nothing, once repeat felons are removed from society. It’s kind of like Zeno’s arrow if we try to prevent the first crime. It will never arrive.

Eliminate violent felons to stop guns from being used in crime.

It’s our own state legislature and our own Manhattan DA and others like him who are killing New York.

If we have to figure out the best place to stand on the subway platform so we can live to eat dinner that night, there’s something wrong, and it’s not the Second Amendment.

Hands off, Mr. Mayor.

Mayor Adams should have a talk with ex-Mayor Rudy Giuilani who knew what had to be done. It’s not a mystery.

We're finding out quickly. But he may be too much of a liberal to do something like that. If so, too bad. He appeared to have potential. He's a former cop, after all.

It wasn’t a complete failure for the criminals. They say all those beautiful huge mansion-type beach houses along the south part of the Jersey Shore were bootleggers’ homes.

They took away the undercover cops too. The ones who took their lives in their hands by infiltrating the gangs.

Yep. Prohibition was a complete failure for the Federal Government. But it bankrolled organize crime.

Curtis should have left the vax issue alone. There were many more of his possible voters who liked the vaccines.

And he should not have done so many cat videos. Made him look like a nut.

A brave man who didn’t have good election campaign advice.

I thought he might be okay from some things he said during the campaign, but he has shown his true colors now. Didn’t vote for him in the end.
