New York City Mayor Eric Adams (D) called on lawmakers in Washington, D.C., to pass gun reform after the city announced that one officer had been fatally shot and another remained in critical condition during a shooting in Harlem on Friday evening.
“We don't make guns here. How are we removing thousands of guns off the street, and they still find their way into New York City? In the hands of people who are killers, constantly carbon highways of death, destroying our communities,” Adams said on Friday night. “We need Washington to join us and act now to stop the flow of guns in New York City and cities like New York.”

After 1845 when the NYC police dept. was established, the murder rate jumped from 5 per 100k to 17 per 100k per year.
After the Sullivan Law was passed in 1911, the murder rate jumped to 8 per 100k.
After the Gun Control Act of 1968, the murder rate in NY City jumped to 23-25 murders per 100k.

After the no-machine guns allowed in 1920`s in NY and the 1934 FED. gun laws, the murder rate in NYC jumped to 8 per 100k. The 1968 Law banned machine guns but by that time thousands of GI`s from `Nam had already brought back thousands, on commercial flights to the USA, of AK 47`s unregistered as we speak...right thru San Francisco Airport- openly- nobody cared because it was a Normal Decades-old practice of bringin home WAR SOUVENIRS. I saw them a`comin out and took them by Taxi to Travis AFB ..They had about 6 AK47`s, some grenades, not including the 3 Army Nurses sitting on their laps in the back seat drinkin n celebratin` just happy to be HOME~.. Their fare was 10 buck plus all the liquor I could imbibe......

You don’t make drugs in NYC either yet you have plenty of them. If people want something they are going to find a way to get it. Criminals want guns. They don’t care about your laws. That’s why law abiding people need guns. Then there are the criminals in government who have a lot of guns. Patriotic Americans need to be armed against them as well.
So what’s the murder rate in states that allow open carry?
Hey Mayor Adams, They don’t make cocaine or fentanyl n NY City either but there is plenty of both floating around the streets. Lawbreakers don’t give a rat’s behind what silly legislation you pass, they are just going to continue doing what they do.
More bull shit from corrupt politicians. NY has the most gun laws in the country. Put the bad guys in jail, bring back two strikes (felony convictions) and you’re out, bring back stop and frisk, allow law abiding citizens to carry in public. Enforce the laws from your stile jumping to graffiti. The new asshole DA won’t prosecute many laws including resisting arrest. They don’t need gun control they need law’s enforced.
Eric Adams should be blasting Jumaane Williams and former US District Court Judge Shira Scheindlin. They are responsible for ending stop a frisk which was effective in getting illegal weapons off the street.
