Does the Virginia governor have the power to remove the school board?

Heck, take a lesson from the Jan 6th prisoner treatment...put the school board in solitary confinement.
Not sure about that but I am sure one thing the parents can fire them, Mama bears wield way more power than the governor, at least in districts that are majority American.
Let them do what they want. They should also figure out how they will make up for the loss of state funds.

They are relentless. It’s a good test for Gov. Youngkin. We will see.

School Board: stuck on stupid.
I don’t know much about that county in Virginia but it sounds like there’s a lot of liberals there. Actually they’re all over the place eating away at the timbers of liberty.
I don’t think Youngkin will have to...if the parents don’t care enough about their children, then that is a problem.
However, if the parents CARE, they will take care of the problem.
And if the parents don’t care, they will have produced a generation of misinformed, bitter, racists people.
First thing he needs to do is start looking at the fiscal support process to schools (and school boards). That includes state-controlled programs AND property taxes. That’s the only way you can influence leftists.....
Go to their homes, round them up and detain them.
Let them bitch and moan while their positions are stripped and they are replaced with a governor appointed interim board
No, DeSantis should have the National Guard of Florida escort unmasked students into the school in front of all the cameras.
There is more to this story. The feds handout big bucks to school districts if they comply with their conditions and masking is one of them.
DeSantis has no power over Virginia.
Follow the school board members around in their daily life and record their hypocrisy. They may get found out in other matters as well. Plenty of parents to take shifts and keep their distance while filming them.
Considering the proven harm that comes to children I would think suing them, and winning, wouldn’t be too hard.
Wearing bacteria ridden masks all day, every day, and eating outside in the freezing cold is inhumane. Not being able to play wind instruments, not seeing other children’s faces, etc. etc. is just abuse.
Require them to prove PROOF that masks work should be required, otherwise they’re just trampling on individual rights. You cannot compel somebody to wear a mask without good ‘emergency powers’. How do SCHOOL BOARDS have ‘emergency powers’ due to a virus? Have we forgotten the Constitution? They are completely out of bounds.
Exactly. His authority to issue mandates is no greater than that of his predecessor.
