There’s talk that some people are trying to purposely get the omicron variant.
They think they’ll become immune and then can more easily move on with their lives but medical experts KRON4 spoke with say this is a huge mistake.
This new trend is like the old days — Before there was a chickenpox vaccine, some parents would purposely get their kids exposed, so they could get it and no longer have to worry about it.
Now, some are doing the same thing with omicron, in hopes they can put this pandemic behind them.
“There’s no good reason to get this virus purposefully, there’s every reason to avoid it,” Dr. John Swartzberg said.
Bay Area Infectious Disease Specialist Dr. John Swartzberg says trying to get the omicron variant with the idea of becoming immune and putting the pandemic behind you is a grave mistake.
“We know there is no assurance if you have omicron once you won’t get it again, there’s evidence from the United Kingdom and South Africa that that is occurring,” Dr. Swartzberg said.
Dr. Swartzberg says while most cases of omicron may be milder, there’s no guarantee you won’t be one of those to get very sick, or if it is milder to pass it on to some who is at higher risk.
How to get free at-home COVID tests under new government program “We still have so much more to learn in terms of how sick it will make you acutely how sick it will make you chronically, other things we may not have even thought of yet,” Dr. Swartzberg said.
Swartzberg says another reason not to actively seek out omicron is the risk of long-COVID.
“You may have a mild case but it may not go away, that is the acute system may get better sore throat runny nose, body aches, but the fatigue may persist the cloudy thinking may persist, other symptoms of long COVID may persist indefinitely, we just don’t know,” Dr. Swartzberg said.
Infectious disease experts say that’s just what it comes down to. We just don’t know enough about omicron yet, to take the risk.
And we know there is no assurance that if you have been "vaccinated" and even "boosted" you won't get it...again and again.
We deny that natural immunity exists. The only safety is to bow down and worship the science gods who will experiment on you. Without needles and pharmaceutical, humans will never be able to live past 75-79 years into the glory years of 80+.
Are we so stupid that we lock down for 2 years, hide behind a mask, allow the government to force us to carry a vaccine card for a virus that is only survived by 99%+?
We deserve the chains we will most surely wear if we do not get off our asses. Take off the masks, refuse to show proof of Maxine..or is it Vaxine? Until we join together, both purebloods and “vaxxed” they have us by the ovaries.
I finally got Covid a few weeks ago because I was no longer willing to stay away from church and other people indoors. (I think being outside is key, but I was done with it). Covid was no big deal for me and if I have to get it every 90 days (if that’s how long immunity lasts), fine.
Since the credibility of the CDC, NIH, FBI, CIA, WHO is only slightly worse than the promises of a Meth addict; what do you suppose the public is going to do?

But go ahead and take your experimental ‘vaccine.’ Perfectly safe - while natural immunity is too dangerous.
No one makes money if you catch COVID by yourself, but they make money, if you get the vaccine.
No worries here. I got a bum knee, and would never be able to catch up to it.

Because you might get the sniffles if you get omicron, and you might get the sniffles again in 3 months! and that would be horrendous! Trust us! We’re scientists, and we don’t have an agenda!
I will try not to get it. It’s a lab engineered virus and I don’t want it. Definitely wouldn’t go looking to get it.
60 percent of my staff got it in 2020. Hubby n i attended in person worship since May 2020. He was sick for two days Last week, fever broke. I tested positive (he cant get tested, no kits.. i am in healthcare). Day 2 was the sickest and the weakest day. The heart rates of 118 and 120 were frightening. He got sick again. Its not his history of 5 way bypass or any of that.
It is how he does sick.. he has never had a head cold that didn’t turn into pneumonia.
Me, I get sick about every 5 years for 24 hours. I will say the headache was terrible, i get one of those about every 5 years too. The weakness was incredible. If someone told me i would get a 5 million dollar bonus for going to work that day, i would’ve missed it. I think gripping the steering wheel and keeping my eyes open wouldve lasted about 1/3 of my short drive.
He is still not out of the woods completely but doc prescribed steroids and z pak.
He and i are terrified of going into the hospital. I worked at one in during 2020. I kept hearing stories of people in nursing homes surviving covid. I also saw what our ventilator protocol was like. Well i call respiratory therapists the grim reaper, for a reason. They arent writing the orders, so nothing but love for them.
In hindsight, i would say, if you are like my husband the injectable monoclonal antibodies would be great. The window closed and he didn’t get them.
We are also filing our medical directives with the state.
Do i have covid, is kinda like your first pregnancy wondering day after day if you are in labor, by the time You get to 5cm, you feel silly thinking anything was labor that your can sleep through.

“We're seeing second cases of omicron more often in people who didn't get vaccinated than in people who have been vaccinated, but second cases of omicron in both cases,” said Dr. John Swartzberg of UC Berkeley.
He added that there is still a lot to learn about the new variant.
“We hardly saw any breakthrough infections with any of the variants until omicron,” said Swartzberg. “So clearly our immune system doesn't do as well against omicron as it has done against other variants.”(emphasis added)
Now wait a min, doc....isn't it the SHOTS that don't do as well? The whole point of getting the shots was to PREVENT COVID19. Are you REALLY failing our immune systems?
I've said this many times...vaccine Efficacy (VE) was a strong 90%+ early on. But by the end of July it looked like VE would fall below 50% just 6 months after the second shot and become totally ineffective by 10 months. Further research in August showed VE during Delta falling to 66%.
Ruh roh.
As an important side note, all of this research is based on statistical analyses of data. They are NOT clinical trials. That is an important distinction, because 1) none of these shots underwent legitimate trials that examined long-term impacts that other approved vaccines underwent and 2) vaccines fail trials 59% of the time and take a median of 9 years. Therefore, we should have VERY LITTLE TOLERANCE for declining VE for these shots.
And now, with Omicron, we are seeing VE being zero in Norway and Denmark and of course the US.
I'll say it again: if people are in a high morbidity cohort or feel like they need to get these shots, I will never criticize them. Heck, even if they AREN'T in such a cluster I won't say a thing-Personal health is a personal matter.
What this Doctor is saying, in reality, is CONTINUE LIVING IN FEAR.
Because that's all they have left...we are all likely survivors of covid or 1-2 steps removed from someone who had it. We know it's not a laughing matter...but it's not Ebola.

My wife, my 96 year old MIL, and I got Covid in December of 20. I alone was sick enough to go to the hospital with pneumonia. They did nothing for me, but I did get a script for a broad spectrum antibiotic and a albuterol huffer. I had the diverse glass lung thing, like what they used to call walking pneumonia? It was a 2 week journey, I was frightened at times, mostly because of how easy it was to sleep LONG LONG TIMES, and easily fall back asleep again. I took triple doses of D3, Zinc, and eventually Quercitin after we found it available. Until then I drank 4 oz of Tonic with Quinine every 2 hours, and pickle juice. I also used a saline rinse in my sinuses 2-3 times a day. I lived and I was 40 lbs overweight, have cancer, and borderline diabetic. Looking back it wasn’t as bad as the flu I had in 1993, but it was close.
The worst part is the fear that everyone instills in you.

I told him his fever broke. Today he will be wanting to finish his lift kit and wheels i hope. He sleeps a lot since his bypass.
Uh huh. So now they get to (high risk) develop shingles later on (or take a truly nasty, expensive shingles vaccine).
