Florida won’t be enforcing the Biden Administration’s mandatory vaccination policy for health care workers upheld by the U.S. Supreme Court, a spokeswoman for the governor’s office said Thursday.
“The state of Florida is not going to serve as the Biden Administration’s biomedical police,” Christina Pushaw, press secretary for Gov. Ron DeSantis, said in an email to the USA TODAY Network-Florida. “Firing unvaccinated healthcare workers, many of whom have infection-conferred immunity, is unethical and unscientific on its face.”
She said it also harms patients “because hospitals in California and other states are now requiring vaccinated, COVID-infected healthcare workers to treat patients due to staffing shortages — which were exacerbated by vaccine mandates. How does that keep anyone safe?”

Great response.
A non-infected, non-vaccinated worker is obviously less dangerous to patients than an infected, vaccinated one.
Except to those who only care about the shots.
If Congress had wanted conditions to be attached with medicare funding, like vaccine mandate it would have done so. There is no right for a Federal bureaucrat to attach such conditions to medicare funds which are not explicilty required by Congress.
Kavanaugh and Roberts reasoning to allow the medicare mandate is appalling.
You really can't blame either of them.
Puppets dance to the jerking of their strings.
#unequal Protection. A different standard being federally imposed because they want to protect obamas flu mandate through cms. Now that it is endemic like i said months ago.. healthcare workers are being bullied from the supreme court down.
Good. Now lets see what the medical institutions do.
That’s MY Governor!
Kudos!
Thanks for the ping.
We just had covid and got over it. Now my wife who works at a nursing home is supposed to get the jab or lose her job.
I'd be interested to know how they'll handle it and hoping my State, Missouri, does the same. We just had covid and my wife works at a nursing home that accepts medicare/medicaid. From what I understand, it's not good to get the jab shortly after having had covid, not to mention we have natural immunity. Natural Immunity is being ignored and denied.
Natural Immunity should not be ignored.
Can she get a Religious Exemption?
Side note: Another group that are left in a hold pattern are those who took Novavax jabs during their US clinical trials. There has been reporting that they have to get the jab.
Thanks
For people who have received anti-SARS-CoV-2 mAbs for treatment, CDC recommends that COVID-19 vaccination be deferred until at least 90 days after therapy
I haven't seen that mentioned in any talk of the mandates. How many health care workers will end up getting the jab soon after having had the infusion? What will it do to them? I was actually looking into how soon after COVID infection is it safe to get the jab and stumbled on this info which happens to apply to my wife. At least we have some ammo to defer for a couple of months.
How do you get the infusion if you’re not sick?
And why would you?
She tested positive at work 3 weeks ago. I got her the appt for the mAb infusion the next day. On our way to the appt, we stopped by her work for the required retest which was also positive.
All four of us ended up with mild COVID. I did the FLCCC protocol and she did the mAb plus vitamins part of protocol. Still don’t know if it was Omicron or mild Delta.
Ping
Plenty of perfectly healthy folks have gotten the monoclonals here in FL. My perfectly healthy 60 year old neighbor just went down to the local department of health office to get them. Florida doesn’t have a requirement that one be on their death bed to get the monoclonals. They’re offered to anyone who wants them, regardless of COVID status.
Still surprised....
...in our county the provision of giving antibodies state that certain criteria be met
