Graham to McConnell: Work with Trump or ‘Fail’
Breitbart ^ | 01/13/2022 | Jeff poor

Posted on 01/13/2022 7:53:20 AM PST by ChicagoConservative27

Wednesday on FNC’s “Hannity,” Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-SC) raised the possibility of not supporting Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) given a perception McConnell and former President Donald Trump don’t have a good relationship.

Graham encouraged McConnell to have that relationship and make the case for Trump-era policies. Otherwise, the South Carolina Republican said McConnell would “fail.”

“Linda talks out of both sides of his mouth.”

Agree. The only person in DC who changes positions more frequently is Fauci.

A ploy to get Trump and Trump voters to think McConnell is acceptable after McConnell issues some kind of feeble response speaking admirably of Trump.

“Graham to McConnell: Work with Trump or ‘Fail’”

For public consumption. Graham has been working against Trump and his supporters from the start.

Everyone is coming to the reality that there will be a Red Wave in the Fall. Everyone is posturing so that their heads are not on the chopping block because they know the electorate is pissed.

Mitch surprisingly gave a good speech on the filibuster yesterday. It was so unlike him to call out Biden and Schumer. My impression was he was performing for “history” playing the wise elder statesman of the Senate. Sadly, as we know he is not Henry Clay or Daniel Webster, or even Everett Dirksen.

I agree it is long past time for Mitch to retire. However, Graham in the job would be an even worse.

Mitch surprisingly gave a good speech on the filibuster yesterday.

It needed to be said and as leader it was his job to say it. So he gets points for doing his job. Brandon's speech was foolish, his Black supporters boycotted the event, on a scale of 1-10 it was a 1, total flop. That's what we get from these losers. He should be worried about inflation, empty shelves, open borders - that's what Americans are interested in, not institutionalized election fraud. These people are leftist radicals harming America, not helping it.

I think McConnell is listening. He seriously attacked the Biden “voting rights” bill and the attempt to change legislative rules in a true rant yesterday. I’ve never heard such energy from him.

Don’t attack Graham for saying something good and obviously getting some response from McConnell. I think losing Graham’s support would be a real problem for McConnell, and he knows it.

Any statement coming from Weathervane Linda is under suspicion, as far as I’m concerned. Just wait—next week he’ll be saying just the opposite. Not someone to share a foxhole with or ask to “cover you”.

“Principled Republicans” know that can’t get reelected on their “Principled” anti Trump stance so their going to say the right things to the rubes and after the election go right back to business as usual and trot out the “ Well we can only do so much since we don’t have the White House so giving away the store to the Democrats is the best deal we can get right now.”
