The White House scoffed at Congressional Republicans on Wednesday who criticized President Joe Biden’s speech slamming the Senate for blocking bills that would federalize state and local elections.
“I know that there has been a lot of claim of the offensive nature of the speech yesterday, which is hilarious on many levels,” White House press secretary Jen Psaki said, pointing to Republican silence during former President Donald Trump’s presidency.

A local radio host played Joe yesterday bragging about marching and being arrested at 1960’s civil rights protests. Applause from his audience.
Then played Joe, some years previous, saying (his in his own voice) that while he sympathized with the marchers, he wasn’t in Selma, never marched with the protesters nor was arrested for protesting
I’m sure one or the other statement was a slip of the tongue and taken out of context.
