They were stupid and should have called the police.

That doesn’t matter in the least. If he was not actually engaged in a crime likely to result in serious bodily injury or death AT THE TIME, they were dead wrong in their response.

He wasn’t a black jogger. He was running away because he’d been caught breaking into homes under construction and stealing tools.

The guy might indeed be suffering from some sort of mental illness or deficiency. One would think that should have been dealt with prior to sentencing and yet it is still pending according to this report.

He wasn’t murdered “in cold blood.” He was shot while fighting over control of a shotgun.

Bryan never struck him with his truck.
That is true and Arbery did "get it". However, that 2-bit thug was not worth going to prison (for life) over. Those guys were fools to let that happen, particularly in today's climate.
Incorrect, he was being illegally detained by a group of morons who pointed a gun at him, he had every right to defend himself against his assailants, and if taking control of the shot gun is all he had, then so be it, he had every right to take that gun away from that criminal.
Self defense.
He was murdered in cold blood in self defense of his own life against assailants who were trying to take control over his free pass/will on a public road.

Looks like the law, the Jury and the Judge agreed with me on this.
You can’t claim self defense when you are in the process of committing a crime against another.
