If that was the case I would agree with you, but it wasn’t. This is more a self defense on the part Arbery. The three morons were looking to hunt him down, blocked his path a couple occasions and one of the idiots struck him with his truck. So yea, Arbery has the right to self defense while fleeing these fools. Just like you or I would have.

Even criminals do not deserve to have someone with a gun, even the police, act on their own as judge, jury and executioner. The murdered man was not a good guy. That did not justify the way he died.

There was no evidence that Arbery was ripping off any of those houses.

I didn't say that he was. You must've got my post mixed up with another post.

Arbery was not shot 3 times.
He was shot once, and that because he grabbed the wrong end of a shotgun.

The McMichaels were trying to apprehend the perpetrator of a string of property crimes. They pushed the attempt too hard, introducing lethal force into a situation not warranting it. Arbery pushed back, eventually grabbing the muzzle of a gun - either that caused it to fire, or McMichael fired.

It wasn’t cold blood. Ambiguous as to who actually caused the gun to fire. Both McMichael and Arbery were acting in such a manner: McMichael by pointing it at Arbery with his finger on the trigger, Arbery by pulling on the gun.

Arbery had opportunity to disengage, but didn’t - opting for a “stand your ground” form of proceeding down the street as best he could (vs leaving the road, and thus the pursuing vehicles).

McMichaels had opportunity to disengage, but didn’t - forgetting he wasn’t a cop any more, he attempted to apprehend a property crime suspect. The suspicion wasn’t enough to warrant apprehension, and not enough to warrant introduction of deadly force.

As both sides wouldn’t back down, it escalated as it did.

They don’t deserve the electric chair. They didn’t intend to murder him, just apprehend a suspected thief.

This is comparable to a SWAT team raiding the wrong address, and someone dying in the process. Wasn’t malicious so doesn’t warrant capital punishment, but neither can they be let off with “oops, sorry”.

“Arbery was not shot 3 times.

Yes Arbery was shot at 3 times, 2 landed

https://www.yahoo.com/news/ahmaud-arbery-shot-twice-shotgun-180855670.html?

“The McMichaels were trying to apprehend the perpetrator of a string of property crimes. They pushed the attempt too hard, introducing lethal force into a situation not warranting it. Arbery pushed back, eventually grabbing the muzzle of a gun - either that caused it to fire, or McMichael fired.”

They had no authority to do that, neither was a cop, and neither witnessed any crime committed by Arbery. They just assumed he was “their guy”

“It wasn’t cold blood. Ambiguous as to who actually caused the gun to fire. Both McMichael and Arbery were acting in such a manner: McMichael by pointing it at Arbery with his finger on the trigger, Arbery by pulling on the gun.”

First rule of gun safety, you and Alec Baldwin should pay attention to this, is: You only point your gun at something you intend to destroy.

Remember that one please, it will help you out.

Whether Arbery was pulling on the gun was pure speculation, but is possible. And McMicheals was pointing a gun at him at point blank range when he followed Arbery to the front of the truck to confront him with a loaded shot gun with the safety off and his finger on the trigger. That is certainly an act of intention to destroy Arbery, which Arbery has every right to defend himself against.

“It wasn’t cold blood. Ambiguous as to who actually caused the gun to fire. Both McMichael and Arbery were acting in such a manner: McMichael by pointing it at Arbery with his finger on the trigger, Arbery by pulling on the gun.”

Hunting down a man and shooting at him three times is murder in cold blood. That is the definition of cold blood. Sorry pal. No dice here.

McMichaels aimed a gun at Arbery with the safety off and his finger on the trigger. Again, please review gun safety rule number 1, this time you and Alec Baldwin should read it aloud.

“Arbery had opportunity to disengage, but didn’t - opting for a “stand your ground” form of proceeding down the street as best he could (vs leaving the road, and thus the pursuing vehicles).”

Can you point out where walking down a public street was illegal in Georgia? He has every right to be there and he had three loons chasing him in two pick up trucks. Plus these loons were accusing him of trespassing, so you want him to leave the public street and trespass on private property? Make up your mind here, you can’t have it both ways.

“As both sides wouldn’t back down, it escalated as it did.”

Arbery never escalated, he continued running around them as the morons tried to block him with their trucks. To me that was deescalation. When moron junior was in the middle of the road with the shot gun, Arbery jogged around him, moron junior moved to the front of the truck and shot him.

“McMichaels had opportunity to disengage, but didn’t - forgetting he wasn’t a cop any more, he attempted to apprehend a property crime suspect. The suspicion wasn’t enough to warrant apprehension, and not enough to warrant introduction of deadly force.”

Plenty of opportunity to disengage, moron junior was never a cop, moron senior was retired and was about to lose his detectives shield because he was lacking 10 years of new training that he kept refusing to attend. Because they did not disengage, they became the aggressors in the situation. Arbery did not seek them out, they sought him out. Arbery had every right to defend himself against their aggression. That was why they were convicted of murder in the 1st degree without parole.

“They don’t deserve the electric chair. They didn’t intend to murder him, just apprehend a suspected thief.”

They deserved the chair, their actions intended to murder the man. Come on, pointing a shot gun at someone with your finger on the trigger and the safety off because they were trying to flee from your hunt. Cold blood murder.

“This is comparable to a SWAT team raiding the wrong address, and someone dying in the process. Wasn’t malicious so doesn’t warrant capital punishment, but neither can they be let off with “oops, sorry”.”

Absolutely not the same, the Swat team are actual cops, these three idiots were out playing cop. And it was malicious and deserve capital punishment. I can’t think of anything more malicious then hunting down a man, and shooting at him three times, killing him. They got off easy, they deserved the chair.
