Good evening, radu...all your bad weather passed by yet?

Calm here...they say high winds to the west, the airport, and north, Elmendorf AFB. So far the east side is calm, but lots of little branches everywhere from the wind yesterday.

A co-worker in the valley reported power out early afternoon...still out. “Strong winds, sounds like a jet flying over.”

Howdy, Kathy.

WOW, is the wind ever CRAZY up there!!! It’s almost impossible to watch the cam today because it’s wiggling so hard. Gives me motion sickness. LOL Snow is blowing across the whole area.
I hope the ducks haven’t shown up this evening so you can stay inside where it’s warm.

It’s been slowly cooling off here all day and is raining now. Icy stuff is closing in with snow to follow. Fortunately the band of icy stuff is a narrow one.

LOL! You must have posted just as I started typing.

Glad you aren’t dealing with the winds that are wreaking havoc at the airport! It’s awful there. I saw a couple of mentions of power outages in the chat and hoped your part of town wasn’t affected.

Our bad weather is just moving in. It’s a slow-mover so it’ll be here a while once it gets here. It’s been raining for about 4 hours and we’ll probably have that long with the sleet and snow.

Howdy, luvie.

Did it ever warm up out of the teens today? I can’t believe how cold it got over there! You’re way south and it isn’t going to get as cold here as it did there. Plenty cold enough though. brrrrrrr

I couldn’t believe it either! It got up to about 45 and is 32 right now. And will get back up into the 50s and 60s by Tuesday and forward. Crazy winter.

Did you get any snow out of the fronts that went through the southeast? I know some parts of TN did.

When Love Never Ends
Read: Psalm 145:8–20

The Lord watches over all who love him. Psalm 145:20

“Whenever my grandfather took me to the beach,” Sandra reminisced, “he always took off his watch and put it away. One day I asked him why.”

“He smiled and replied, ‘Because I want you to know how important my moments with you are to me. I just want to be with you and let time go by.’ ”

I heard Sandra share that recollection at her grandfather’s funeral. It was one of her favorite memories of their life together. As I reflected on how valued it makes us feel when others take time for us, it brought to mind Scripture’s words on God’s loving care.

God always makes time for us. David prayed in Psalm 145, “You open your hand and satisfy the desires of every living thing. The Lord is righteous in all his ways and faithful in all he does. The Lord is near” (vv. 16–18).

God’s goodness and thoughtful attention sustain our lives each moment, providing us with air to breathe and food to eat. Because He is rich in love, the Creator of all things mercifully crafts even the most intricate details of our existence.

God’s love is so deep and unending that in His kindness and mercy He’s even opened the way to eternal life and joy in His presence, as if to say, “I love you so much, I just want to be with you forever, and let time go by.”James Banks

How does your availability to others reflect God’s faithful love for them? In what ways can you follow His example by making time for others today?

Father, thank You for Your perfect love. Please help me to praise You for it and to share it with others today.

Up to 45? That’s a big bounce in the right direction! A much more tolerable temperature.

It was 45 here when I woke up and stayed there until it got dark. It’s down to 36 now and we’re looking at low 20s for the overnight low.

It’s been raining for a few hours and it just changed over to snow a couple of minutes ago. It’s a slow-moving system.

We have 50s Tues. and Wed., 30s Thurs. and Fri., then 50s again for the weekend. This roller coaster ride will give us whiplash. LOL
