Jerusalem Post Arab Israeli Conflict Palestinians slam Mansour Abbas for 'recognizing' Israel as a Jewish state ) PA President Mahmoud Abbas: Mansour Abbas represents only himself when he talks about accepting Israel as a Jewish state.
Palestinians from across the political spectrum have strongly condemned Ra’am (United Arab List) leader and MK Mansour Abbas for recognizing Israel as a Jewish state. On Tuesday, Abbas was quoted as saying, “The State of Israel was born as a Jewish state, and it will remain one.” He made the statement at a conference of the Hebrew economic newspaper Globes.

Didn’t expect to see one of them voice this thought.
I guess he may not be one of them, hearing this.
This is the result of Trump playing hardball with Abbas and doing peace deals with other individual countries.
By ‘Palestinian’ they mean those getting oceans of US Taxpayer blood money who don’t want it to stop. They’ll have to get an honest job and like mad maxine waters, have no skills apart from community agitator.
Can anyone say “Anwar Sadat?”
The fakestinian murder gangsters will continue so long as they’re permitted to occupy Israel and they’re paid to kill Jews and Christians.
EU, Saudi Arabia, Qatar are the chief enablers of this motel
Outrage and bloodshed. And now again the USA, alas. Alas.
Pray for America! We’re being dragged down again to join the forces of evil
Interesting that prior to 1948 no people claimed to be Palestinians.
Palestine was just an area; no government, no president, no laws. and that the territory was governed by outside countries.

Please note that this is from Mansour Abbas, an Arab List Party member and MK who lives in Israel proper, and is part of the new Jewish-run coalition government.

He should NOT be confused with Mahmoud Abbas, the "Palestinian Authority" leader and Islamofascist wacko and leader of Fatah, who lives in Ramallah, West Bank, and wishes Israel was wiped off the map (even if he won't admit that publicly). He wouldn't be caught dead saying that Israel will remain a 'Jewish state'

I chalk MANSOUR'S change of heart to now "supporting" the idea that Israel is a "Jewish state" to the same reason why Rick Perry was vehemently AGAINST the Dept. of Energy and gung-ho in favor of abolishing it, until he got a cushy federal job RUNNING the Dept. of Energy. Then he was suddenly totally FOR keeping the department and expanding it!
Amazing how getting a cushy government job by the ruling administration will change a politician's viewpoint on the validity of that office!
Thanks for addressing that difference.
I hadn’t picked up on it. Glad you did.
Qatar (and its all Jazeera) is sneakiest as it plays the “modern” mask facade on world stage.
Anwar Sadat was murdered because he dared them. He was a hero, after all. He changed and came so far ahead from his dark 1950s Hitler glorification .
Thanks BillyBoy for this.
It is also why I added the “Arab MK” in title... Yet, to make sure, this guy is far from being great, he is connected to Muslim Brotherhood.
Yet, this particular declaration is commendable. Even if it seems from pragmatism.
Yup
Thanks for clarifying!
But I'm hopeful one of the "silver lining" to Arab parties being part of the Israeli government for the first time EVER is that they move Israel to the right on social issues. Netanyahu's "conservative" government was so far left on stuff like gay rights and abortion that they'd make Barbara Boxer blush.
I was wrong about Bennett being an improvement over Bibi but I'm pleased to see the people "warning" us that the Arab List Parties would try to destroy Israel from within were wrong. It's nice to see their "leader" say Israel will remain a Jewish state, and see his fellow arabs tear their hair out and call him a traitor over it.
As I noted, the reasons are similar to Rick Perry being vehemently against the Dept. of Energy, then flip-flopping 180o degrees and suddenly being totally in favor of keeping it and expanding it once he was put in charge of it.
I think Abbas is sincere at least as far as realizing that if Bennett's government is toppled, he loses his cushy government post, but I'd also still trust him as far as I can throw him.
“So far, the new Israeli PM Bennett has been a disappointment, and hasn’t acted remotely “conservative” despite being to the right of Bibi on paper.”

Very much so. Weak to Arab Terror
