The Salvation Army went woke, and now, at least in certain parts of the country, it’s going broke.
Naturally, no one dares to admit that the Salvation Army’s outrageous decision to ask its white donors to apologize for being racists might be the cause of its troubles. Instead, the Christian group’s problems are blamed on the pandemic—which makes no sense.
As you’ll see below, some of the Salvation Army’s donation and volunteer problems are down compared to last year. Some of you might recall that there was not only a pandemic last year, but that last year there was no vaccine.
I should point out that the Salvation Army removed its smear of America and white Americans, but only under the excuse that it was all a misunderstanding. So apparently, on top of being racist, we are also stupid.
And so, the sour taste almost certainly remains in people’s mouths. I know it’s in mine. Every kettle I passed once received a donation. No more. I wouldn’t want to taint this pristine outfit with my racist dollars.
Iowa:
The Red Kettle Campaign which has a goal of $79,600 reached 24.29 percent on Dec. 4. The campaign which runs through Dec. 24 is used to help The Salvation Army fund programs in Marshalltown, such as rent and utility assistance, food pantry and youth programming, throughout the year.
The overall holiday goal of $217,700 has reached 24.77 percent. The Red Kettle Campaign serves as The Salvation Army’s largest fundraising effort each year. As of Dec. 4, the campaign has fallen $14,707 behind the same time in 2020. The campaign is struggling to find enough bell ringers to help meet the goal which ends at 2 p.m. on Dec. 24.

Salvation Army is dead. 2021. Died of suicide. God rest their souls. Don’t mourn, don’t pay tribute don’t try to resurrect. Let it DIE!!!

They need to repent for accusing others for sins they did not commit. The only one who carried the sins of another is Christ. I can not carry the sins of another. So, If they are projecting their guilt, they can repent.

That’s how communism and evil works it’s deception and lies and how people fall for it. It’s all a “trap” as you aptly put it.
I just learned that SA hired a couple and let them spend a year or two in Australia in “overseas service”. This bimbo and her woke husband are paid out of those red kettles.
And I went to bat for them so many times when leftists opposed them for being Christian.

Sorry but most mainline religious groups have gone woke. Being woke is to accept agnosticism and neo pagan decadence. Rational, decent people are not being fooled.
You can just imagine where the money is going now. It’s no doubt worse that we can imagine.
What? You mean donations and volunteers from non-white folks hasn’t picked up the slack? What a shame. Just think of all those non-white folks they usually help not getting it this year.
I shouldn’t be so blunt, but enough is enough. I am ready to see if non-white Americans and Illegals can make it on their own.

I’m not interested in giving to “charity” much anymore...so we are focusing on “working poor”, ie people who work, and have through all this covid crap...waitresses, construction types, small biz owners...
Companies have been "getting woke" since as long as I can remember -- since the 1970s. Fast food chains, network telvision, Hollywood, most large corporations. And they've only gotten bigger and more profitable.
If "Get Woke, Go Broke" were real, all the woke companies would have been bankrupt by the 1990s, and businesses would be overwhelmingly conservative. Yet, that hasn't happened.
Ever see one of those lists of woke companies we're supposed to boycott? It's got practically every large company on it.
Verizon, T-Mobile, and AT&T are all woke. Boycott them, and you won't have a phone. (And before you recommend a small, conservative provider -- be aware that ALL small phone companies pay to use one of the Big Three's networks.)
Apple, Android -- both woke.
Visa, MasterCard, Discover, American Express -- all woke.
Amazon, Walmart, Target, all the big online and big box retailers - all woke.
Chase, Citi, Wells Fargo, and other big banks, all woke.
Sorry to be a Gloomy Gus, but "Get Woke, Go Broke" ain't true.
here is an idea...instead of putting money in the kettle. put a slip of paper in that says the amount you are donating to a different charity that in the past would go to the salvation army.... charity is a good thing to do but We don’t need the salvation army to take care of the poor and needy. reputation in the past is what brought in donations and with one policy decision they blew up trust in how they used the charity entrusted to them.
The Salvation Army broke the Cardinal Rule: they forgot who were the people they were actually serving.
And now they can't serve them because of their foolishness.

These people basically raised my daughter, she was in SA daycare from age 3. The people running the place truly loved Jesus, that was clear to me. Don’t know what happened, but know the Devil is to blame. They won’t get another dime from me.

I received a letter from SA today asking for a donation. It’s worth a stamp to send it back with no money in it. I just haven’t decided what I want to write on the donation form.
If there’s a postage-paid envelope to send back your ‘donation’, tape it to a brick and send it back.
