Yeah I think I’d go up and act like is going to donate, then when asked to ‘apologize’, take my money and walk. Let them know it’s costing them. Problem is, the bucket tenders probably know not to do that, so the organization would end up doing the money after all.
I wrote them and told them “ Not another penny. Not ever”
And I mean it
#FSA
Brings to mind the old saying about knowing which side your bread is buttered on.
If the left was the primary source of donations, progressives would have crawled to the kettles on their tattered, bruised knees and begged forgiveness for their racism; the coffers would be full.
Perhaps the Salvation Army needs to do a little research on who gives to charities in America.
FWIW, my local Conservative Talk-Radio Hosts are NOT asking for volunteers to ring bells this season. For many, MANY years they were at the forefront of raising money for this organization.
SA has lost A LOT of support in my immediate area.
The great falling away.
Get woke, go f*** yourself.
What is the National Overhead taken from local SA donations?
If the National OH is low, a local, non-woke populated SA organizational outpost may still deserve heavy support.
For years I gave to the Starvation Army, not pocket change in a pot, but checks. I considered it a worthy charity that gave people a second chance. No more. Eff them. White Christian Americans are the most giving people in the world. People like these don’t make me feel giving or Christian. I can’t change the white part. Sometimes you don’t know you need something until you don’t do without.
I was going to add a similar comment. Unfortunate that an organization known for helping others has opted to single out an entire race, many who tend to be those willing to donate.
Screw the Salvation Army of woke nitwits
GIVE to Samaritan’s Purse
Are the bucket tenders supposed to ask white people to apologize?
No Red Kettles at my WalMart this year. There’s usually two.
Damn shame for the kids that would have benefited from the SA this Christmas, but it’s all on the Army. They got too big for their britches. Pride does ugly things.
I certainly hope organizations like Samaritans Purse can handle the influx of cash they will prolly get for the folks in KY etc since the SA will most likely have a much smaller presence than they normally would have.
Too late now. Even if they figure it out and try to walk it back, now we know they’re either unprincipled, pussy PR whores or closet liberals.
This is so unfortunate but predictable. Like many others I stopped donating. There was a time when the Salvation Army was the kind of Christian Charity that our nation was founded on. In doing research on adoptions and people in need 100 years ago as part of my wife’s genealogy I discovered just how much good the the Salvation Army used to do. They were the original life centers and homes for unwed mothers. Thanks to some woke modern staffers though they threw it all away. More evidence that everything that liberals touch self destructs.
They didn’t ask their donors to apologize for anything but why not kick a dog when he’s down? Once someone says something wrong (as they did in one essay in their booklet) then they cannot be libeled anymore. You can say anything you want about them and if someone points out that it’s not true you can just show something else that they said that is wrong and that will prove that everything they were ever accused of is true.
I guess. Article referred to ‘SA decision to ask white donors to apologize...’
To Salvation Army’s POC address :
Based on your message that the Salvation Army now aligns with the Black Lives Matter Marxist organization , and your suggestion that > all white people< self identify themselves as racists and repent thereof ; I ( a white man) shall NEVER contribute another coin to any Salvation Army donation bucket.
I make this a lifetime vow.
You have crossed the line .
Go pound sand ...
The head of the SA was interviewed on the Shaun & Emma show on Newsmax this morning—and it was a total disappointment. All of their questions were slow-pitched softballs and none of them addressed the SA’s embrace of wokeness and CRT. Shame on you, Newsmax!
In that case I’d tell the kettle tender to tell his boss that I’m not a racist and resent that implication and they should be ashamed of themselves for basically taking needed assistance away from the needy.
My first encounter with the SA was a warm August evening in 1969; my first day in the U.S. Army. They won me over with a simple, selfless act of charity, and I have dropped money in the red kettle every year since. Until this year. It wasn’t what they said, but why they said it. That’s why it cannot be undone.
