Elon Musk: 'I Will Pay the Most Taxes of Any American In History'

Obnoxious, but likely correct.

Tesla CEO and paper billionaire Elon Musk on Tuesday shot back at comments from Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-Mass.), telling the Democratic Senator to "stop projecting" and calling her "Senator Karen" for criticizing Musk for not paying enough in taxes.

Following Musk's crowning by Time Magazine as Person of the Year on Monday, Warren took to Twitter to weigh in on the billionaire wealth debate and hers and others' perspective that those who make the most don't pay their fair share of taxes.

"Let's change the rigged tax code so The Person of the Year will actually pay taxes and stop freeloading off everyone else," Warren said.

Stop projecting!" Musk fired back, also telling the Massachusetts senator, "You remind me of when I was a kid and my friend's angry Mom would just randomly yell at everyone for no reason."

"Please don't call the manager on me, Senator Karen."

Musk continued to shoot back at the Democrat senator, tweeting that beyond being named person of the year he'll also take the top prize for highest American taxpayer.

"And if you opened your eyes for 2 seconds, you would realize I will pay more taxes than any American in history this year," continued Musk. "Don't spend it all at once … oh wait you did already."

Musk has feuded with other progressive politicians in the past, including both Sens. Ron Wyden (D-Ore.) and Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.) last month.

Wyden criticized Musk on Twitter after the billionaire tweeted out a poll in early November asking if he should sell 10% of his Tesla stock, drawing a crude response from Musk.

So far this year, Musk has paid a massive $7 Billion in taxes and is on track to pay a total of $12 Billion by the end of the year, the biggest in American history, according to CNBC:

If Musk keeps this up, I will have to consider buying a Tesla.

My sister is named Karen. I am offended on her behalf. Mr. Musk can make up for his offense in any number of ways.

Well, I guess Warren is too stupid to realize that Musk has a simply huge army of fans. Insulting him is self-defeating. But then Fauxcohontas has always been a socialist moron.

The only response I can think of:

“Gold, Jerry! Comedy Gold!”

I know, I know...I have always seem him as somewhat of a Bond Villain (the guy who crys blood for tears) but in a humorous way, and now, a villain to the government.

I know he dips with both hands with subsidies and such, but...I love the way he runs SpaceX, provides something we need, and gives us something to cheer about.

$12B in taxes?

Imagine what he could have done if that money was invested, not pissed away by the likes of Warren and Sanders, two useless morons who have never accomplished anything except pointing fingers at everyone else who has.

SpaceX was the result of a $200M investment and Tesla even less. By ruthless risk taking and attention to detail he went where other companies dared not go: rockets that were recoverable and cool cars that ran on electricity and weren’t overpriced golf carts.

THAT’S where his money came from. Did he get subsidies along the way? Yeah. So what. Anyone could if they took the same risk. SpaceX and Tesla have damn near gone bankrupt multiple times. They run on the edge.

The two screaming clowns?

They just demand that taxpayers feed them, no risk.

Subsidies, bankruptcy, same thing- no matter how offensive we find the rules, they are they are the rules and people use them to their advantage. I don’t think there should be any subsidies for anything, nor should anyone be able to avoid paying a debt period, end of subject, but I don’t make the rules.

Edison, Ford, neither of those guys were pleasant either, but they changed the country for the better.

He might pay the most but it’s not enough for the libs. I think they want at least 70% of everyone’s income.

One of the most valuable services Trump has done for our country.

Even if he couldn’t drain the swamp and eliminate the swamp rats, he flushed the rats into the open where they have been exposing themselves by being forced to take stances that illustrate where they stand (even to the point they support violent, insane, sodomizing pedophiles like Rosenbaum in Kenosha)

And he has given backbone to people who DO want to stand up and be counted.

This country owes him, if we can use his tools and influence to save it before it is utterly beyond reach in the near future, even the scumbags who hate him will reap the benefits though they will never admit it.

How is that obnoxious?

If Congress was paid what it is worth, they would all be living in cardboard boxes and under bridges.

Oh, I agree. If we are stupid enough to put them in place legally, I cannot fault capitalists for using them at all.

And...I feel that more of his subsidy usage is going into producing a product and not being funneled back in grift to the people who made the subsidy possible.

“I think they want at least 70% of everyone’s income”

So they can live on the beach and in the ski towns on somebody else’s dime.

Why work when you can sleaze off someone who does?

By “them”, I meant subsidies.

I feel the same way about taxes. If there are loopholes and people can exploit them and stay within the bounds of the law, I have no problem with that.

>>If we are stupid enough to put them in place legally, I cannot fault capitalists for using them at all.

Then do you fault people who collect welfare? how about those that exaggerate disabilities to collect SSDI? How about the illegal immigrants that run across the border to get free stuff. They are all just doing stuff that the law allows too.

It is actually OK to like Musk and yet still find it disgusting that he feels a need to have his hand out for welfare at every turn. He is a smart guy, he has accomplish a lot - I’d respect him a lot more if he didn’t take money from taxpayers that he didn’t need, and clearly he is in a postion to not need subsidies anymore.
