Administrators at a Chicago Public Schools high school have shot down an attempt by a right-wing group to form a chapter on the Northwest Side campus of “an organization promoting racial intolerance.”
Meanwhile, Chicago police said they are investigating a social media post by a longtime CPD sergeant that praised supposed efforts by students to start the group, Turning Point USA.
Taft High School Principal Mark Grishaber said in a letter to the school community earlier this month that he was “disturbed” by efforts to launch a Turning Point chapter at Taft. The right-wing organization has a presence at more than 2,500 high schools and college campuses nationwide, including at New Trier and Niles West high schools and in other area suburbs, according to its website.
The organization was founded in 2012 by Charlie Kirk, an avid Trump supporter who considers critical race theory and the concept of white privilege is racist against whites. The group’s key principles, he says, are rooted in capitalism, the U.S. Constitution and that the U.S. is the “greatest country in the history of the world.” Kirk grew up in the northern suburbs of Chicago and attended Wheeling High School.
Grishaber said in his note that the group doesn’t support diversity and inclusion and contradicts the school’s mission statement to “educate global citizens to create a better world.”

Charlie Kirk did not start out as a Trump supporter. Also TPUSA is more libertarian than conservative as they include gay and tranny reps on their road show.

Some brave students will be creating this Chapter of Turning Point USA tomorrow at Taft High School which is located on the Northwest side of chicago in the 41st Ward. I could not be more proud of them. In a city where Liberal Progressives have continually and unjustifiably attacked the characters of conservatives, including myself and my children, by calling us “Nazis”, “White Supremists” and outright “racists”, I am certain these students realize that this will almost certainly be scrutinized by the administration at this school which seems to embrace the Marxist views of a substantial amount of the Chicago Teacher’s union members. Please help support them and their cause by posting some encouraging messages on this page. I will be sure to pass it along to them. We must not give up on our youth. Please and thank you.

Well, I guess since Chicago police have nothing else to do, they may as well investigate an officer who supports the First Amendment.
Public schools are dead. Yes, they are still around, but anyone sending their chillunz to publik skoolz should be jailed for child neglect.

Since the school officials ought to have known this, they should be stripped of qualified immunity.

Grishaber is banning a group because it doesn't represent diversity and inclusion. To repeat, banning a group that doesn't represent diversity and inclusion. Their viewpoitns aren't allowed.
And this person is an "educator"...
Sad fact is that it does, at least in Chicago where the post would be viewed as counter-revolutionary. Many regard Chicago as the birthplace of the CPUSA, and for good reason.
Elsewhere one could argue such an investigation should be viewed as slightly beyond a slow-moving but accelerating tipping point.

Apparently, we now live in a country where defending yourself from false charges of racism is proof that you are racist. Turning Point USA should sue anyone who defames them as racist.
