Chief Justice John Roberts on Thursday rejected a request to block a federal mask mandate for air travel.
The emergency request was filed by a Florida man on behalf of himself and his 4-year-old autistic son, who both claim to be medically incapable of wearing masks for extended periods, according to court papers

I also avoid flying. I travel a ton for work but due to the amount of gear I bring, I’m limited to driving almost always. I’ve got two trips scheduled in January and sadly, one of them will be flying.
I’m not real happy about it.
We conservatives are usually left playing defense. It was Baby Bush or Al Gore. We made the right choice. We weren’t given a choice actually. Except for Trump, all of our choices have been provided by the New World Order in the manner of “Heads they win, tails they don’t lose”.
I am always voting lessers of evil. It sucks, but that is the only choice conservatives get. Trump was a complete aberration.
I can just see it. W sitting in the Oval office asking his ‘crew,’ “Who’s the most sniveling little sh*t NWO Globalist coward I could nominate for Chief Justice?”
I did too. And, I’m very sorely ashamed of that fact. My only excuse is the same you offer. The alternative was clearly worse.

Various Supreme Court justices have gotten a lot of crap about recent COVID-related rulings that haven’t gone the way we’d like. It’s important to note what exactly these cases involved. In almost every one I can recall (including this one), a justice — or the Supreme Court — has been asked to issue an emergency ruling in a case that hasn’t yet worked its way through the Federal courts.
The Supreme Court rarely issues rulings like this. That’s because an emergency injunction or court order is only applicable when two conditions are met:
1. The court believes the person or group requesting the order is likely to prevail when the case is ultimately decided in a court of law.
2. The case involves a situation where an immediate ruling is necessary because the person or group requesting the order would suffer irreparable harm if they have to wait for the case to proceed through the courts.
The Supreme Court rarely issues these emergency orders for one simple reason: Even if the justice or the court agrees with the plaintiff under Condition #1 above, these cases rarely involve situations where the remedy is needed under Condition #2.
That’s almost certainly what happened in this case. I’m sure Roberts looked at the facts related to the petition and said: “You are incapable of wearing a mask on an airplane for medical reasons? Fine. Then just don’t fly anywhere while your case works its way through the Federal courts.”
This clearly isn’t a matter of life, death or religious liberty, folks.

The Left needs to control the SC. They will use whatever means necessary. Robert’s clearly had something the Left could use as leverage, and now they own him.

I would have thought with all the information available on the Covid masks that our Chief Justice would see that this idea is a lot like banning autos because that would eliminate most auto accidents.
