A coming winter surge and the spread of Omicron have made it clear that COVID is everyone’s problem.

Even before the arrival of Omicron, the winter months were going to be tough for parts of the United States. While COVID transmission rates in the South caught fire over the summer, the Northeast and Great Plains states were largely spared thanks to cyclical factors and high vaccination rates. But weather and the patterns of human life were bound to shift the disease burden northward for the holidays—and that was just with Delta. Enter a new variant that appears better able to evade immunity, and that seasonal wave could end up a tsunami.
Back in July, CDC Director Rochelle Walensky announced that COVID had become “a pandemic of the unvaccinated,” an unfortunate turn of phrase that was soon picked up by the president. Covid did take the life of an old friend, but he chose the hospital option.

My doctor friend who has been solidly anti clot shot for a year after tons of reading and research, predicted your exact scenario last summer. She said they would come up with some supposed variant and claim all the vax side effects were from that variant. BigPharma, Inc completely off the hook.

Omicron is reported to be a very mild disease from which I have not seen any reports of death.
Just get it and get over it and it’ll help your natural immunity against Covid with hardly any of the risk of the original.

I have a liberal relative who is so scared of all these dangerous variants (delta and omicron. She hangs on every word from CNN) that she rushed out and got vaxxed and said no holiday gatherings at her house until the weather was warm enough to be able to open windows fir fresh air.
It is so pathetic to see someone that consumed by fear.
This relative would do better losing weight and getting her diabetes under control than getting vaxxed.

Again, the Atlantic does not know what they are talking about. The solution to the Covid is NOT another "vaccine?" (mRNA gene therapy). It is early treatment by methods (HCQ, Ivermectin, Quercetin, Zinc, D-3, vitamin C, steroids, antibiotics) that are proven to help people who get any mutation of the virus. In highly "vaccinated" populations, the vaccinated are the spreaders of the mutated viruses. NOT "largely" unvaccinated.
