'If he wanted to run, that's OK with me. I think we'd win by a lot.' Former President Donald Trump continues to say Gov. Ron DeSantis won’t run against him in 2024 and can’t beat him if he does, while reminding voters DeSantis wouldn’t be Governor without Trump’s endorsement.
During an interview with South Florida radio host Brian Mudd, Trump offered his latest in a series of statements essentially claiming he made the Governor and DeSantis knows better than to run against him in 2024.
“I do think if I run, he won’t,” Trump said. “I know they try and create a friction. I don’t think it exists at all. It might, you know, you never know. If he wanted to run, that’s OK with me. I think we’d win by a lot. But he’s good. And he’s done a good job as Governor.”
Trump also offered a new detail on his 2018 DeSantis endorsement, with Trump finding new ways to explicitly take credit for DeSantis’ victory.
“When Ron came to me, he was at 3%. And he had no money. And he asked for an endorsement. And I actually, you know, wasn’t too thrilled because … you know, he was very good, he helped me with the (Bob) Mueller hoax, because we had many hoaxes, and he was on television a lot,” Trump said. “But people didn’t relate him doing that as Governor. So when he announced for Governor, people didn’t really know who he was.”
“So when Ron asked me for help, for an endorsement.” Trump added, “He was at 3(%), and 3(%) means you don’t have a chance. He went up like a rocket ship.”
Trump noted DeSantis’ chief primary opponent, Adam Putnam, told him the endorsement was “like a nuclear weapon went off.”

I’d rather see DeSantis remain governor and be a thorn in the side of democrats who can’t do much to control him.
As president, if he doesn’t have the backing of Congress, he can’t accomplish much. As governor, with states rights, he can actively sabotage what the federal leftists are trying to inflict on the rest of us.
I can’t speak for anyone else, but military service means nothing to me when it comes to political candidates anymore. The government of this country has been polluted with too many dopes who trade on their military service but are duplicitous globalists through and through.
Totally agree.
Justin Amash was one of the founding Freedom Caucus members. How did that work out for America?
I’m all for it, though Trump would have to move to Bedminster.
Yep.... not a well-known requirement....
Trump should take his yap out of overdrive...

The podcast of that particular Brian Mudd Show is here:
Sounds like PDJT has a cold. There is less “drama” “in context” of the whole discussion. (Rather than sound bites).

Thanks for posting the whole discussion. It didn’t sound too hard on Ron. It was a nice dicsussion. Lots of negatards posting here today getting triggered.
Ewww
C’mon man! We need Trump and 4 more years of Ivanka and Jared.
I will enthusiastically vote for and support him if he’s the nominee, but Ron DeSantis is my choice by far. He has all of the Trump positives without annoying baggage.
I figure by mid 2024 the public with the help of the MSM will awake to the vaccine’s harm and DJT will be hammered with it 24/7 during his campaign. Best to run DeSantis.
This is what I liked about Trump, the total outsider, not part of the insiders club, who actually did things like build a world wide empire before ever running for office. Not the typical lawyer turned career politician...Same old same old as the country slowly slides over a cliff. I think we've had enough of that bull s**t.
Besides, Trump is owed another shot at this.
DeSantis has all of the Trump positives without annoying baggage.
Then why is he losing to Mike Pence?
I really don’t think DeSantis has a lot of national name recognition yet.
I was disappointed by some things Trump did, but I do not trust DeSantis on the issues I care most about.
my folks are anons and they live in a bubble. A lot of people voted for Trump because, Hitlery! Had the left run Sanders, it may have looked very different. My issue with Trump is he said one thing regarding big tech and big pharma but EO’d nearly the whole WEF agenda. I have tried to converse with anon family and friends but for all thier researching, they will not read them, or go to the source. In the meantime it is rolling along with zero resistance.
I’d happily vote for either, but DeSantis in my book retains a nearly flawless record in deed and word, whereas there is a long list of things that Trump clearly got wrong. I’d love it if Trump bowed out and backed DeSantis.
Or so the Germans would have us believe."
Um, Ted insulted Melania first. Trump returned fire.
I’m sorry, but this place is sounding like Democratundergound when Trump is mentioned. such disrespect, ugly and childish.
