I like DeSantis, but if Trump runs he wins the primary.
I got a call from the GOP national committee fundraisers who “want to continue the Trump agenda” and i gave them an earful.
I told them I am ONLY donating to Trump’s PC and anyone he endorses, directly. And I added that the GOP was filled with RINO’s and I will never donate directly to them again.
Are you a RINO?
I got the same. And I told them that at the right time, I would donate to Trump’s Save America PAC.
And they told me that by law they were the only ones allowed to support a candidate after the primary.
I’m pretty sure that was a bald face lie. I think I ended up curtly saying goodbye and hanging up on them.
DeSantis gets the joke. There is no friction. DeSantis knows that he himself will be The Guy eventually, once he is no longer The Guy’s Guy.

And actually the techniques that the RNC uses are heavy handed and obnoxious.
And they do it in Trump’s name. And I’m sure Trump isn’t saying those things.
I think that was what was behind Trump’s threatened lawsuit to make them quit using his name. But he husted up about that. I think he probably had given RNC permission and didn’t have the legal grounds to stop them.
That would be Nirvana.

From reading this anti-Trump pile-on thread, it seems the butt-hurt Cruz-lovers from 2016 never left FR - they just went underground for a while.
Now they are back because they think they can kick Trump while he’s down.
Stupid neverTrumpers always think if they start with “I love Trump but…” that we won’t know they are neverTrumpers.

That made me laugh because I never thought about that, but you are probably correct. I wondered what was going on in their minds.

Never liked cruz, took a bit of flack. when did conservatives become like libs and demand lock step agreement? or try to shut out, insult or bully people who disagree? No single person is going to fit everyone. FR used to be some of the brightest people, ahead of the msm and average person, by years. now we are OK with tyranny, when it is our side. We are now so far behind the actual events that soon it will be over, with no chance to recover once was. We decided to play the same game as the left. They drug us down and beat us with experience. Some days it appears we like to be victims.

You don’t get it. And neither does Trump. Biden shouldn’t have gotten five votes in the last election. But he somehow got a hell of a lot of votes. Why? because Trump puts a lot of people off with his demeanor and his language. this is just one more example. He hasn’t learned. It’s like he enjoys antagonizing people. His ego really seems to come before the country in his mind. Or at least he doesn’t seem capable of putting his ego on the back burner. And it’s really infuriating given that we are dealing with the future of this country. The left used Trump from day 1 to move their agenda. The day that he finds some way to confess that the vaccines that he helped create are anti liberty poison is the day I start thinking he has grown as a man.

Also love DeSantis. So, why. not have Trump as Prez candidate and DeSantis as VP. Trump is seriously old, so that could mean more than 8 Republican years.
OTOH, the vicious press does not totally hate DeSantis, which might make him the better candidate.

Trump is still the top dog. But that'll change if DeSantis is #1. The press did attack DeSantis over COVID-19 in Florida but he did a good job deflecting their attacks because he's a seasoned politician while Trump was a rookie to the swamp (Mr. Smith Goes to Washington).

The Democrats could nominate a half-eaten hamburger and still get 60 million votes (which is about what Biden actually got). That’s how brainwashed people are.
The most lopsided landslides in modern history barely exceeded 60% of the popular vote.
You people worried about Trump’s mean tweets are the ones that don’t get it. Trump is popular because he doesn’t let the fake news PC police tell him what to say and how to act “presidential”.
McCain, Romney and JEB! tried appeasing the globalists and look where it got them.
As for the vaccines - I’m not taking this fake vaccine - but there’s nothing wrong with Trump being pro-vaccine - that’s his personal choice and that’s all he said it was.
What is evil is that they are being forced on us - and Trump has never supported the mandates.
