I have no idea what he’d bring to the White House. I’ll support him if he runs and gets the GOP nomination, but I have a deep-seated distrust of people like this who spend their lives getting groomed for public office.
Agree. DeSantis’s resume is quite similar to Buttigieg’s. A ticket punched in all the right places.
I’ve never seen DeSantis address the institutional corruption of the GOP in a Trumpian manner. Ever. That’s a huge red flag for me.
I’ll happily vote for DeSantis (again) but I’m also prepared to be disappointed with him. I doubt he’s a historic figure in the manner of Presidents Trump and Reagan.

One of the reasons I voted for Trump was that he was adamantly opposed to the Iraq War from the start. In that regard, DeSantis’ military record in Iraq means absolutely nothing to me.

DeSantis barely won against a radical black self avowed socialist in conservative Florida because of the anti trump vote.
The Rs lost the House despite a booming economy and the Dims gained over 40 new Reps because of the anti Trump vote in the Midterms in 2018. And that is just the short list.
Trump’s Jerk Personality was a liability then and is a liability now. Biden wont run in 2024. If the Dims get a solid candidate they will beat Trump in 24.
The more Trump talks about DeSantis and whines about his election loss, the more I like DeSantis.

This! DeSantis can run after his term is limited out. I don’t know much of his Lt Gov, but I doubt she would be as strong of a leader as him, so we need to keep him in FLA as long as possible.
