The Black Lives Matter Global Network has announced they will be boycotting "white companies" as part of their "Black Xmas".
They shared an Instagram post, with a caption reading: "We’re dreaming of a #Blackxmas. That means no spending with white companies from 11/26/2021 – 01/01/2022."
The Black Lives Matter group also shared a post to their website, saying: “As we prepare ourselves for the holiday season, we are bombarded with ads that seek to whip us up into a consumerist frenzy.
“Black Friday sales are being rolled out weeks in advance of Thanksgiving and, at every turn, white-supremacist-capitalism is telling us to spend our money on things that we don’t need, to reap profits for corporations.”
It continued: "#BlackXmas challenges us to shake off the chains of consumerism and step fully into our own collective power, to build new traditions, and run an offense as well as a defense."
"Black Xmas" was started in 2014 after John Crawford, a black man was involved in a police shooting in Ohio. Crawford was holding a BB gun that was for sale in a Walmart.

They’ll have short shopping lists. BET, EBony subscriptions, hair weaves.
Why don’t they celebrate Kwanzaa instead, if that’s the way they feel? Myself, I can’t get excited over a tradition that is younger than I am.
Does this include looting and shop lifting?
A problem with this crap is there are so many legitimate black businesses who have no connection with, or desire to work with, BLM, and who normally enjoy good business, that may see losses as shoppers stiff them out of spite. BLM harms everyone, except maybe its chiefs.
Dose that request come we a promise not to rob, loot, burn or vandalize white owned businesses.

Boycott white companies and do without food, transportation, phones and phone service, internet, computer, etc, etc, etc, etc, etc, etc.

Racism does indeed harm everyone, all races. It is a crying shame. Terrible direction our culture is currently headed in.

If you have self identified, non patronizing, non-buying people. In a mall type situation. When does it become actionable loitering?
I’m thinking they don’t like all the black faces in the current commercials everywhere you look after all. Now they feel like they’re being targeted for commercial profit after all the whining about not seeing anyone that looks like them. Apparently they stop and ask every place they go into if its white or black owned.
