Close to half of all Americans say they are experiencing "some degree" of financial hardship thanks to inflation, and a large majority of low-income homes say the recent price hikes are hurting their families.
These results come from a new Gallup poll, which says 45% of American households surveyed believe inflation is affecting them somewhat. Another 35% say the hardship is moderate, and 10% say the hardship is "severe."
According to the Gallup poll, lower-income and less-educated Americans are the most affected.
"Lower-income households are most likely to have experienced financial hardship due to price increases. Seventy-one percent of those living in households making less than $40,000 a year say that recent price hikes have caused their family financial hardship. That compares with 47% of those in middle-income households and 29% in upper-income households," the poll reads.

And I’d bet you most of those are resident poopy pants voters.
I need more stimulus checks while on the Bidenflation merry-go-round. It goes faster and faster and it only hurts when it stops or you fall off.
I’m watching my life savings being shrunk like a cheap tee shirt every day....................
Didn’t Jen Psaki or some other flunkie, say that inflation is good for us, because it indicates the economy is recovering, or something along those lines?
“And I’d bet you most of those are resident poopy pants voters.”
Why do you say that?
The elites do not care and they are all that matter.
Well, I consider inflation to be causing hardship for my household, and I don’t consider those in my household to be “resident poopy pants voters”, so I guess I am missing your point.
Here’s my hardship. Local craft beer at a nearby sports bar recently went from six to seven bucks per pint. The horror.
I am thrilled that gasoline has doubled in price no hardship here I just quit going to work in order to use the gas money I saved on Hamburger that also doubled in price. Happy, happy, happy.
They are still giving out stimulus checks? Can’t recall the last one I got it’s been so long. I guess for those of us working, we can afford to pay others checks! But, I’m still in $30K debt and my job is not cutting it back at all.
“so I guess I am missing your point.”
It was a stupid comment, I’d retract it if I could. I guess I’m just wishing that the economic chaos affects Biden voters disproportionally.
