Police seize armfuls of weapons from Oxford shooter’s home
Fourth student dies in hospital
The Michigan high school shooter who killed four classmates and injured seven others yesterday at Oxford High School is now refusing to speak to police at the juvenile detention center where he is being held.
The 15-year-old suspect has not yet been named by police because he is a minor. It remains unclear if he will be charged as an adult or a juvenile but he is being held at Oakland County Children’s Village, where he is on suicide watch and being checked on every 15 minutes.
He opened fire at Oxford High School in Michigan, on Tuesday afternoon, shooting dead Hana St. Juliana, 14, Tate Myre, 16, and Madisyn Baldwin, 17. Eight others were killed in the attack that he carried out with his father’s 9mm Sig Sauer semi-automatic handgun.
A fourth teen, Justin Shilling, 17, died in the hospital on Wednesday morning.
The shooter’s father bought the weapon that was used in the attack just four days ago. The teenager posted pictures of it on social media before Tuesday’s attack.
‘He had been shooting with it and posted pictures of a target and the weapon. That’s all part of what’s being looked at. We’re going to do a deep dive on the social media and all the activities of this young man,’ Oakland County Sheriff Michael Bouchard said during a Tuesday night press conference.
On Tuesday night, police were seen at the shooter’s family home removing multiple, long-barreled guns. Now, the teenage boy is refusing to speak with the authorities at the Oakland Juvenile Center and his parents have hired an attorney to represent him.
Cops recovered a 9mm Sig Sauer semi-automatic handgun, purchased by the gunman’s father on Friday. They later said the suspect had fired at least 12 rounds and had seven more rounds of ammunition when he surrendered. It is not yet clear where in the school the shooter started his rampage.

Legally purchased?
If so, SO WHAT!
Shall not be infringed!!!!
Local DA calling for gun control.
Eight others were killed? Does no one proofread anymore?
Charge the shrink who put him on drugs too.
I keep reading the kid is refusing to talk to the police. Like it or not, he does have the right to remain silent.
But the press doesn’t understand the miranda rights.
What was the reason?
The father didn’t do anything wrong.
Did they charge him with some crime? If not then why are the seizing his legally owned weapons?
Why would the police confiscate all those weapons of the father?
What are the miranda rights? What are they based on? Is there a clause in the Constitution stating them? LOL
He was a pretty good shot, if the article can be believed. He hit 11 ppl with 12 rounds? Or is this reporter as FOS as the rest of them?
What was the reason?
Because they can.......................
Who’s gonna stop them?............
Because they can.......................
Who’s gonna stop them?..........
Can someone explain that this reporter says he shot dead 3, but 8 others were killed. Where are the editors?
What’s the constitution? :)
If the info available here is accurate...

...a whole lotta people suspected and/or knew plenty.
And did nothing.
It seems to me that if a 15-year-old kid responds to purported ‘bullying’ by shooting up his school, there has certainly been at least a sin of omission somewhere along the line.
Four died, eleven shot in total. The reporter is an idiot. The word should have been “shot,” not “killed.”
The parents will be charged with criminal negligence.
Expanding civil liability erodes gun rights.
Expect charges to come.
Maybe because at this point, the police have no idea what may have been going on in that house. Nobody is talking. They probably took any computers, too.
“The father didn’t do anything wrong.”
Won’t save him from the coming lawsuits.
