The U.S. Supreme Court announced that it will take up arguably one of the most abortion cases in at least three decades.
The nation’s highest court will hear a direct challenge out of Mississippi to Roe v. Wade’s landmark holding that the Constitution provides a right of access to abortion.
“It’s the case opponents of abortion have long sought and advocates of abortion rights have dreaded, coming before a strongly conservative lineup of justices. Three were appointed by then-President Donald Trump, who said he would choose nominees willing to overturn Roe,” NBC News reported.
“The issue of whether the Constitution provides a right to seek an abortion is not before the court in the Texas challenges, but it is squarely presented in Wednesday’s case. At the heart of it is a Mississippi law — passed in 2018 but blocked by the lower courts — that would ban most abortions after 15 weeks of pregnancy, allowing them only in medical emergencies or cases of severe fetal abnormality. Supporters say the law is intended to regulate ‘inhumane procedures’ and argue that a fetus is capable of detecting and responding to pain by that point,” the report added.
Conversely, if the current SCOTUS upholds infanticide, the backlash will cause conservative fundraising to increase.
Kavanaugh and Barrett are not disappointments.
“...viability ... has remained the same since Roe was decided.”
THAT is PURE, unadulterated bullshit!
The mortality associated with pre-term deliveries has fallen, and continues to fall. It’s only that the gains are incremental — not monumental — year-on-year. Still, in nearly five decades the change amounts to many lives saved that would have been hopelessly lost all those years ago.
I suppose I ought not be the least bit surprised that the Leftist Death Cult would be so dismissive of such gains.
Actually woman want the sexual freedom as men without the natural results of intercourse.....pregnancy. Thus they want the legal right to destroy the evidence ....their own baby.
Time for prayer and fasting.
I know. And that’s not a cut and paste error; it’s in the source article.
The worst of it will be from the Press, especially from the advocates and activists among them. From this point on they will be shrill, over-bearing and cruel. And it will only get worse with each day of the trial. Unwatchable will soon be the least of what people say about the press.
Next will be the politicians; the abortion supporters if not the outright advocates of it. Their vituperation will become legendary. The filth and stench of it will become so bad that even the press will have a hard time showing it - but they will (with caveats like - this is just a sample - this is not to be taken as the norm - etc. etc. etc.)
Then the Abortion Providers will come out. Planned Parenthood will be front and center. Folks you have never heard of will now be screaming.
Then there will be people, portrayed as "ordinary", yelling that their lives are being overturned, ruined, and worse. Women will say that they no longer will give sex or will turn out their husbands because of it. Bleeding hearts among the people, again "ordinary", will be shown over and over again and over again.
In short, get ready, for as the kids say sometimes "it's going to be really bad".
My advice, turn off the TV, get off the internet, and just live with those of whom you love and friends that you like. In short, just live in spite of them.
CO
That’s fine with me. Let the states who want to do it do it.
Should not be a nation’s federal law.
Any other country in the world have such a law?
With their record, no. They are scared dems will call them names or cut off their tweeter.
Roberts will claim “it’s a tax!”
1) who is roe and who is Wade?
2) State which amendments were violated that the supreme court based its decision on.
3) locate in the argument where abortion is mentioned
4) state what happened to the baby?
5) Now state your case against abortion based on the findings and only the finding/ decision in the roe vs. wade ruling. - no ifs, ands , or buts. Strictly -On the dicision..
In short it wasnt about abortion at the same time it was all about an abortion.
Typical Evil at work, the devil found a loose nail and tore down an entire city.
I read that case, and nowhere does it say that access to abortion is a constitutional right. It said that states had no right to prevent abortions during the first two trimesters, but did have a state interest in preserving the potential for life in the third. Access is no more a right than requiring the government to give you bus tickets to travel all over the country because of your right to interstate travel.
Yup, get ready for the staged scenes of women laying in back alleys with bloody coathangers in view.
Moloch demands sacrifices or else.
Lol. Gorsuch is more conservative than Barrett, Kavanaugh and Roberts.
I find it amazing at how little people know about what they don’t know.
Abortion will never cease in the Coalition of City States that governs America
I sincerely doubt the liberal Court will overturn Roe.
They will EXPAND infanticide.
You don’t get to be a black robed princess by having morals, values, and respect for the law.
Phrama needs infant bodies to test.
If the supply isn’t there domestically, there are other sources.
