The warning comes after NATO chief Jens Stoltenberg cautioned Moscow against any aggression

President Emmanuel Macron told Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin on Monday that France is ready to defend the territorial integrity of Ukraine.

The warning comes after NATO chief Jens Stoltenberg cautioned Moscow against any aggression after "large and unusual concentrations of Russian forces" were spotted at Ukraine's border in recent weeks.

In a telephone conversation lasting for one hour and 45 minutes Macron expressed "our deep concern and our willingness to defend the territorial integrity of Ukraine," the French president's office said.

Putin responded by saying that negotiations were "made difficult" by the Ukrainian authorities, the Elysee Palace said, adding that this line of reasoning was "often" used by the Russian leader.

Russian troops in Russia/Eastern Ukraine, Belarus, Moldova (where Russia is enabling breakaway insurgents)…Ukraine surrounded on 3 sides.

Putin loves stirring the pot. A few tend of thousands of people die while he plays games to keep Eastern Europe fragmented…What does he care, it spites NATO.

It definitely has a WWI vibe. Just remember, if a war does start, the real enemy is global warming.

The globalist Eurotrash really want to pull America into a war with Russia. Why are we picking up the long held dream of the British Empire and Europe to take down Russia?

Russians and European can duke it out on their own because from my perspective as an America they are both equally despotic so who cares? Let them bleed each other dry.

Are there any Poles that remember 1939 that wish to comment on the French guarantee?

Foch is gone. Today the French Army is the second most experienced combat force in the world. Second only to the USA.

Obama Biden and the EU encouraged Ukraine to overthrow an Election so the Ukraine could join the EU.
.
That’s what caused the invasion of Crimea. Russia was taking back what was given to Ukraine.
.
Before that Bush aggressively expanded Nato into Estonia, Latvia , and other Russian Border States.
.
Before that Clinton bombed the Russian ally Serbia.
.
Is it any wonder Russia is friendly with Syria and Iran and China

President Emmanuel Macron told Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin on Monday that France is ready to defend the territorial integrity of Ukraine

Complete BS posturing from the French. After 8 years of war in Ukraine, the French still refuse to give the Ukrainians weapons. Does anyone seriously think Macron will send French troops to fight Ruski's? Worth less than the Budapest Memorandum, which ended up being completely worthless.

We are definitely seeing an escalation, the question is just how far it will get.

To add to the total picture: Belarus cut off oil exports to Europe through its territory -- officially for repairs to last three days.

This is obviously another face of the same confrontation.

It all started with the 2014 “Color Revolution” which overthrew the elected President of Ukraine, Viktor Yanukovych, courtesy of Obama, deep-state neocons like Victoria Nuland, and the CIA.

“What does he care, it spites NATO.”

Putin has some very necessary and fairly short term goals me MUST accomplish if Russia is to remain a country for the longest possible time. (Regardless, Russia as we know it is in demographic collapse and those who are “Russian” will be a tiny minority in a Muslim dominated country by the end of this century.) In the mean time, Putin MUST establish defensible borders which means taking back most of the Soviet Empire. That means he has to retake about three thousand miles of the old border so they only have to defend a few hundred miles, which the much smaller ethnic Russian army will be able to do for at least the next fifty years.

If he fails, he believes that Russia will be overrun by invading armies. While I can’t imagine why anyone would want the present day Russia, the Russians are justifiably paranoid. What most westerners don’t understand is the Russian mindset. While France and America might swish and make squeaky-voiced probably false promises, Russia is dead serious about retaking those old Soviet borders. This is a huge flash point and once large casualties have been taken, Russia will most likely use their nukes. Think Stalingrad mentality vs. sexually confused westerners who go to conferences taking women with purple hair. Putin is dead serious and our side wants to put more transvestites into uniform. What happens will be a tragedy of western stupidity.

Now, if we had Trump, he’d stop Putin with a few wild, crazy sounding Tweets because nobody f***s with a crazy man who means what he says. (Even if he’s bluffing. Who can tell?)

NATO(Europe) is struggling to adapt to the realization that under Biden the US is not a reliable force, and they are basically on their own. Maybe something good will come of this development despite Biden incompetence.

Did he say: “Just like we defended Poland in 1939, France will definitely defend Ukraine today.”
