Kyle Rittenhouse case: Jury set to begin deliberations on potential prison times
NY Post ^ | 11/16/2021 | Lee Brown

Jurors are set to begin deliberations at Kenosha gunman Kyle Rittenhouse’s murder trial Tuesday — deciding if the teen either walks or potentially gets as much as a mandatory life sentence.

The 12-member jury will get to decide on five felony charges with sentences ranging from 12-1/2 years behind bars to life, with two also punishable by up to 60 years in prison.

During closing arguments Monday, prosecutors called Rittenhouse — who was only 17 at the time — a “wannabe soldier” who walked off like a “hero in a Western” after killing two men and wounding a third.

or potentially gets as much as a mandatory life sentence.

That would be one of the greatest travesties of justice in history.

Why are they talking about sentences before they’ve decided if he’s guilty? That makes no sense to me.

Rittenhouse had no intention of being the bad guy. The prosecutor said he passed himself off as an EMT. He had a supply of medical “stuff”...While he was not an EMT, he was a lifeguard and also associated with (I forgot). He would have gotten training from both. He did administer to a couple people during the melee.

I hope they have the strength to acquit, if not the more bs will own the streets. If anyone threatens them they should be arrested and prosecuted. We need our country back, we need the rule of law.

“Jury set to begin deliberations on potential prison times”

That headline is a little slanted dontcha think?

Most things I’ve heard is it’s a slam dunk he’s acquitted

Also the judge told them specifically that they were not to consider punishments, that that was his decision to make.

“Hope this jury acquits if possible.”

I think they will. The prosecution really stepped on their ***** yesterday. “Everybody takes a beating sometime” was beyond ordinary stupid. I couldn’t believe he actually said that. And “you lose your right to self defense if you’re carrying a gun.”

WTF? That’s WHY one carries a gun in the first place.

I’m surprised the idiot prosecutor didn’t try to add driving without a license to the laundry list of bull**** charges at the last minute. Maybe they convict on the curfew violation, and that’s a big maybe.

Has the defense given their closing arguments?

The headline is really weird. After reading it you’d think they were in the penalty phase of the trial.

Terrible title. Makes it sound like they came back with a guilty verdict already.

My gut is still telling me that this will be a reverse OJ trial, that he will be punished no matter what to appease their neighbors and the woke mob outside the courtroom they will have to walk through when leaving, especially with the women on the jury.

God I hope I’m wrong, but just the feel of what I’m seeing then a hung jury will be about the best outcome I can hope for on this.

I also believe that the jury will fear the repercussions of a not guilty verdict to their own personal safety and that of their family will be far greater from the leftist mobs than they will be from the other side, and this has to be playing on their minds too.

If this case doesn’t qualify as self-defense, nothing does.

if possible

?

Anyone who isn't completely biased can see this was a clear case of self-defense.

who walked off like a “hero in a Western” after killing two men and wounding a third. <<<<<<<<<<<<<<

Thats exactly what Kyle did and he is my hero.He acted in self defense. And he did not break the law carrying that rifle. Whats more he has 2nd amendment rights to carry it.

He dropped 3 Marxists of the nationally organized commies, BLM and ANTIFA.

If these BLM and ANTIFA cannon fodder for the left riot, loot and commit arson again today? I hope the WNG cuts them down. A few more need to be dropped IMHO.Arson and Looting are acts of war, not protest.

Wonder why he didn't go with a Judge vs a jury?

I've always said if I'm guilty I'm going with a Jury trial but if I'm innocent I'll go with a Judge.
