July 7,1951 seems just a short time ago for me...
A very long train of new recruits rolled into Yemassee, SC about 1 A.M. and the life-changing, never-to-be-forgotten fun began as we were beaten, cussed at, kicked, and clubbed off the train and onto buses...
Fortunately my Dad (USMC: January 1942-December 1945) had fully prepared me for the next 4-months of vacationing at P.I.
