RIP ...
In his book, Lee: The Last Years, Charles Bracelen Flood reports that after the Civil War, Robert E. Lee visited a Kentucky lady, who took him to the remains of a grand old tree in front of her house. There she bitterly cried that its limbs and trunk had been destroyed by Federal Artillery fire. She looked to Lee for a word condemning the North or at least sympathizing with her loss. After a brief silence, Lee said, "Cut it down, my dear Madam, and forget it." It is better to forgive the injustices of the past than to allow them to remain and cause bitterness.

Hello my friend. Seeing your name, and knowing the greatness that the brilliant author and writer behind it has, and the great woman that our great God above created for His glory, and us as smiling pupils to behold the shining brilliance and intellect of His wonderful handmaiden, the apple of His eye, after 2 decades, I thought I would invade the privacy of this site, and say hello to you, and to say may God lift you up, keep you, guide you, lead you, and bless you in every way. As an aside, I was going through some books today, and I was thumbing through The Road to Serfdom, and I had a bookmarker in it that I had made 20 years ago with your picture and Steve Forbes together on it from I believe an old Free Republic shindig of some kind. I thought, if she's here I wanted to say Hi, and God Bless YOU! I miss you much, and so many other Freepers also!! Anyway, I will leave you with one last thought:
"We have staked the whole future of American civilization, not upon the power of government, far from it. We have staked the future of all our political institutions upon the capacity of mankind for self government; upon the capacity of each and all of us to govern ourselves, to control ourselves to sustain ourselves according to THE TEN COMMANDMENTS OF GOD".
James Madison
Framer, and architect of the U.S. Constitution, and 4th President of the United States. 1778, speech to the General Assembly of the State of Virginia.

I remember your older posts on Kissenger and population control, it’s too bad FR doesn’t keep those old articles.

He was such a cool character. When I would complement his post or comment he would reply, “Your obedient servant,
Sir.”

You don’t know how happy it makes me to hear from you.
I’ve been Blthrough some wringers but still getting great mileage on archived posts of 20 years ago that have come true sooner than I’d hoped.
I think I’m ready for a respite of sorts in the stacks with some retro posts here of a sort that won’t get me canned right off and which might smoke out some of the old gang.
Gosh I hope you and yours are well! Very best regards! So happy to hear from you!
