Fox News host Chris Wallace repeatedly questioned Sen. Rick Scott (R-FL) on Sunday’s broadcast of “Fox News Sunday” for criticizing government debt but supporting former President Donald Trump’s tax cuts.
On President Biden’s build Back Better plan, Scott said, “This has got to end this is this is causing inflation. I mean, this is hurting the poor families. This is not hurting the rich. It’s hurting families like mine growing up that had to struggle to put food on the table. This is ridiculous inflation. Solve that. We have to live within our means like every family does.

Austerity is coming, ie spending cuts and increases in taxes. We are so deep in debt we might as well sell some assets.
What an idiot
Partisan Media Shill alert.
“Because you moron, everyone who can read knows reduced tax RATE increases economic growth and increases tax REVENUE” Without fail.
I always equate this to running a retail shop. If faced with slow sales, a rational person would consider having a sale, but a liberal would RAISE prices in a foolish attempt to make up the shortfall. They only think one-dimensionally, just like children. They can’t conceive of the fact that the most important factor is human nature, and that rational humans will make decisions based upon their own best interest. Of course, when faced with rational behavior that runs contrary to their dictatorial expectations, they simply try to use government force to deny people the right to make their own choices.
He went to Hotchkiss Prep School,Conn. & Haahvard
so he is to be listened to. He is important (Sarc)
Let’s Go Wallace!
When will Fox get rid of this idiot…
I don’t think we disagree-in those kinds of things, there is pretty obviously a sliding scale where zero taxes means zero tax income, and taxation at some point means positive tax income of some kind.
I believe it is a gray scale, were somewhere along that point, the taxing becomes counterproductive.
Ugh. One of those...
If you doubled our taxes, they would quadruple spending.
If you tripled our taxes, they would increase spending ten-fold.
If you quadrupled our taxes, spending would go up 16 times.
That's right -- revenue went up because of Trump's tax cuts, just like it did when Reagan cut taxes.
The excessive debt is not the result of the government taking too little money from the people who earned it; it’s the result of spending too much money on unnecessary things. Reducing the debt only requires to work on the spending.
When will Fox get rid of this idiot…
If they say that's true than they are a fool of the first magnitude and should be told they are not worth your time. If they pause and say no it wouldn't then you can begin to educate them on things like the laffer curve.
That is part of the story. Massive government spending combined with tax cuts is something to behold. 'We' cannot outgrow government, that has been proven time and again. The spending has to be cut, but no party wants to do that. All the tax cuts in the world isn't gonna save the future without cuts to spending and entitlements.
a real deliberate dope
Guess Mike never bothered to look at tax revenue under Trump tax cuts…. Lol
