The judge didn’t issue a “request”. I am pretty sure it was more like an edict, command, or the like.

Judge Colleen Kollar-Kotelly issued an order on Thursday asking the White House to commit to not firing or taking action against the 20 plaintiffs named in the suit.Since when does a court "order" equate to "asking"?

I wasn’t aware that a Federal Judge could issue an “ask”.

Clearly, what is happening is that the inner workings of the bygone Joe Biden, who was a slippery political chameleon and weathervane, is well and truly gone. The empty shell that remains is under the control of leftist ideologues (e.g. Obama, Jarrett, Rice, Klain, et. al.) So, he (or what’s left of him) will not negotiate or show any flexibility on this or any other issue. Others are functioning as his now-departed brain. The aim of this administration seems to be to wreck economically, undermine spiritually, and divide generally the nation.
Impeach 46 ... and then go after the rest to remove them from the public life of the republic, whether by forcing them back into private life or imprisoning them - whichever is called for.

Okay, here is what is going on
Before issuing an order barring the Biden administration from enforcing the vaccine mandate on people with pending appeals for religious or medical exemptions, The judge first wanted to ensure that the Biden ministration actually planned to do that.
Now that the Biden administration has confirmed that it will continue to process those people for termination, the judge will issue the order barring the administration for doing so.
In other words, we win for now.
