These things always make me sad and angry at the system. All they have is a hammer and isolated people get hammered, over and over again.

Seriously, how was this guy getting food? Either someone was delivering it or he was going out to buy it himself. That’s always the best way to get inside someone’s social circle, even if the circle has zero others in it.

Social workers are useless because the majority are lazy or stupid. Even if they are competent, the rules are so risk adverse that they can’t actually do anything useful.

So government is just going to keep killing the mentally ill every time there is friction with officialdom and their “rules”.
