Police in Seattle went undercover to break open what they said was a trafficking ring involving the sale of expensive stolen goods: Lego, taken from an Amazon store.
Saying they had seized 171 sets, police released a picture showing the boxes stacked together.

During lockdown, my 20-something son bought several Lego sets with his Covid stimulus checks. (He was actually working more due to others leaving). I thought it was a waste of money (it showed up on our Amazon account), but he is an adult, never asks for anything....
I recall as a kid buying Lego kids way above his level figuring it would be something we could work on together.
As I lay in bed after the Christmas Holiday, he would have his Lego Star Wars Walker assembled at the age of six!

If Legos werent so doggone expensive, they might not have a theft problem.
I dont play with them myself but the dollar an ounce lego table at the local used media store has supplemented my kids collections greatly.

Yes, theft is not trivial. But, Seattle is a western cesspool 2nd only to Portland. They defund the coppers and then do this?
