Legos really are expensive. It’s common to see sets in Walmart for $70 and $120. I don’t know. Someone is buying them.

During lockdown, my 20-something son bought several Lego sets with his Covid stimulus checks. (He was actually working more due to others leaving). I thought it was a waste of money (it showed up on our Amazon account), but he is an adult, never asks for anything....

I recall as a kid buying Lego kids way above his level figuring it would be something we could work on together.

As I lay in bed after the Christmas Holiday, he would have his Lego Star Wars Walker assembled at the age of six!

I’m just glad I have the several bins of Legos stashed away in the basement. His AND mine!

Sets are for the mentally challenged

Lego’s bought in bulk on Ebay are for those up to the task of mental challenge, design and assembly

They have a model of the Titanic on sale now. I think it’s something like $650. It’s the biggest lego set ever.

OTOH, for collectors, small things can be fairly valuable. I have a single minifig that was not for general sale, it was a freebie that came with an order. It is worth over $150 all by itself.
