Nearly 80 percent of Republicans want former President Donald Trump to run for office in 2024, according to a new poll.
Republicans by a 78 percent to 16 percent margin want Trump to mount a White House bid in 2024, an increase of 13 percentage points since May, a Quinnipiac University National Poll shows.
On the other side, 94 percent of Democrats and 58 percent of independents say the former president should sit out the election.
“While a majority of Americans say, ‘Been there, done that’ about Trump, and half feel he has damaged the underpinnings of democracy, support for the former president within the GOP has grown,” Quinnipiac University polling analyst Tim Malloy said.

The other 20 would probably still vote for Trump.
Good, then barring any medical issues, it’s settled.
Now, back to election integrity.
Because if we don’t have good controls on the election, it doesn’t matter how popular our candidate is.
The other 20 percent want Jeb.

Or one of the ineligibles, Rubio, Jindal Cruz, Haley.
Quite honestly, after watching Biden over the last nine
months, you'd have to have brain damage on some level to
trash Trump after everything he has said has been proven
to be true.
Trump telling people not to vote in ‘22. What an ego. Amazing he hasnt crashed and burned yet.
Well, he is endorsing people for ..... votes!!!!!
It would be nice if he could just lighten up a bit for the suburban housewives who would take their pants off in front of Bill Clinton even if their husbands were present. Since Biden’s no BJ/Kenyan I think there’s something to be gained. He just needs to point to the results.
With rigged elections, the Republicans could run Ronald Reagan reincarnate and still lose.
There’s no evidence 24’ will have a different result than 20’.
With the utter trash that is the government of the United States of America, no way Trump wants back in.
Of course the GOPe does for sure. They miss being able to stab him in the back every other day.
They can’t stab old PedoJoe like that....he’s one of their own UniParty members.

“

Right and what you should do is stay home, lock yourself in a closet and chug a quart of Clorox.
You can hope in one hand…
“There’s no evidence 24’ will have a different result than 20’.”
The important thing is that 2020 was different than 2012 or 2008. For the first time ever a Republican tried to expose Dem fraud.
Any nominee other than Trump when he loses in 2024 will happil accept the result and be well paid in corporate appointments after the campaign.
I really don’t recall Trump ever telling people not to vote.
People need to badger any state legislators running for election or re-election in 2022 and make them promise to do something about it. Also need to make sure every possible state has more repub legislators and a repub governor and not RINOs.
They stole 2020 by using 6 blue cities and probably dominion. I don’t think they’ll be able to do the same in 2022. Maybe in a few places but I don’t think the drive will be there like it was with Trump. A few states have tightened things up already as far as elections go.
We also need thousands of conservative foot soldiers on the ground at every election with cameras/phones. 24/7 watches. Stop the midnight drop. Do not allow it. We also need brave muscular men as well trained poll watchers, especially in places like Philly, Detroit where the blacks try to intimidate repubs. If it has to turn into a brawl, so be it.
Voting for Trump instead of Hillary or Joe was an easy choice.
I would prefer DeSantis because he holds the same views as Trump on important issues and also has the legal skills of a lawyer and the legislative experience of a Congressman.
DeSantis will avoid needless battles that would waste his time.
I agree. My views align with yours.
However, the media being what it is, if DeSantis became president, the nightly news would likely be a non-stop rendition of DeSantis' awful tweets, his racist comments, his scandals, and the constant fights he picks with everyoen around him.
He might end up wasting his time with completely fictitious problems. Of course, he might triumph over that BS too. That is a possibility. But they wouldn't make it easy for him.
