Joe Biden to call Bill Clinton in hospital, sends ‘his best wishes’

President Biden plans to call former President Bill Clinton in the hospital to wish him a speedy recovery, the White House said Friday.

“The President sends his best wishes to President Clinton, President Biden will be speaking to them later today,” White House spokeswoman Karine Jean-Pierre told reporters on Air Force One during a flight to Connecticut.

“They have not connected yet but we’re hoping to connect them later today,” she said.

Clinton, 75, was hospitalized this week in California after a urinary tract infection spread to his bloodstream, according to his doctors.
