A Sudanese delegation made up of senior security and military officials visited Israel earlier this week to discuss relations between the two countries, the Al-Arabiya network reported on Friday.
No details were provided about the meetings.
Sudan became the third Arab country to normalize ties with Israel as part of the Abraham Accords brokered by the Trump Administration in October, 2020, following the United Arab Emirates and Bahrain.
The agreement between Israel and Sudan was announced days after then-US President Donald Trump officially removed Sudan from the list of nations that sponsor and finance terrorism.
However, despite the agreement, no steps for full normalization between Israel and Sudan have taken place as of yet.
In April, Sudan officially abolished a decades-old law on boycotting Israel, part of efforts to establish normal ties with the Jewish state.

Was it a hate-Jesus fest?
Sounds good. Sudan and Israel are logical allies geographically, historically and strategically. Plus, Sudan stands to substantially benefit from normal positive trade, tourism, etc.
hopefully, the internal situation in the Sudanese governing circles can be resolved favorably. It will help the Sudanese greatly
What is a hate-Jesus fest. From my two years in Israel I found the average Jews and those in the diplomatic community to see Christians as the #3 religion behind the Muslims. Jews are rather dismissive or non-aligned on the subject.
A lot of Jews think it humorous that Christians co-opted their religion and then shut them out as irony. Not to belabor the point, but Jews could care less - those Christians can believe anything they want as long as they keep spending tourist dollars here;)
As a Christian myself it was wonderful to go all over Israel with my wife and kids. My favorite trip with my son was to a place overlooking the only route armies could ever traverse thru Israel; Armageddon was an ancient city. Solomon had 54 calvery stationed in the town and the worship remains of the temple faced out overlooking the Plaines, situated in a break in the higher hillside surroundings of the town. We prayed for peace in Israel, for the United States, and survival of the two.
