he FBI’s latest annual report on hate crimes seemed to deliver more grim news about race relations in America, announcing a nearly 40% rise in anti-black hate crimes in 2020. Major news outlets trumpeted the headline-grabbing statistic, noting that it coincided with a rise in “white nationalism” and came amid a surge in anti-black “hostility” caused by summer 2020 protests. Attorney General Merrick Garland quickly promised “a comprehensive response” by the Department of Justice.

But a closer look at the data reveals a more complicated picture.

Yeah, it’s like they know they have impure thoughts and impulses, know that those impulses are wrong, and instead of changing their beliefs and way of life choose to ask government to force them to be better people. Blame shifting, too. It’s always the other guy’s fault.

The world is full of dumb and hateful people. Always has. Government cannot fix any of it. The last 3 generations of anti-drug, anti-poverty, anti-illiteracy, affirmative action, government hiring and our leaders still claim it is a massive social problem? That’s what the kids these days would call a “Fail!”.

In the Government, failure gets them a bigger budget. It’s like they select for failure.
The purpose for Hate Crime legislation is to pave the way for Thought Crime legislation. Once we accept ‘hate crime’ as a valid idea it will be easier to implement laws against ‘wrongthink.’

Not only does the number of reporting agencies vary from year to year, but the threshold for determining what is or isn't a hate crime seems to vary widely depending upon who the perp is and who the victim is.

We've seen a lot of videos showing black street thugs cold-cocking white people - sometimes elderly ones - and just walking away. Those are probably NOT classified as hate crimes, but what other motive could there be? At best, robbery - when it does occur - seems to be an afterthought. But if a white person were to do the same thing to a black person, it would almost certainly be called a hate crime. And a widely disproportionate number of plain old murders are committed by blacks.

About 65-70% of interracial murders involving blacks and whites are committed by blacks, even though there are four times as many whites as blacks.

Tell me about it. I had a girlfriend decades ago. After grad school she got a government job in a red state. She was very happy, sort of her dream job. She came in with four other new hires. But they had literally no work to do. They were all very disappointed. Finally after about 5 months they met with the boss and said “why did you hire us if you have no work for us to do?” and the boss said “we had extra money in the budget, and if we didn’t spend it the legistlature would have cut out budget. So now, next year we can tell them we need a bigger budget we already spend every penny”.

She took a blue state job government job the next year and last I heard has actually done quite well for herself. High ranking person; has given testimony to the legislature and eventually got a job inside one of the powerful committees. Budget related stuff.

I remember arguing with her that government is inefficient and would go broke if it were a private industry. She argued back that government isn’t a business. In principle she was right but it is clear as day they are more devious schemers and crooks than just about any business I have ever encountered.
