The Hard Truth Is Child Predators Are Among Us And Victims Need A Lifeline
Townhall.com ^ | October 3, 2021 | Jason Piccolo

It seems every other day I read a news article or police report of a child predator that comes from the ranks of so-called "pillars of the community." There are people, men, and women, preying on children in our communities. That statement reaks of alarmism, but is a reality. A reality that we have to confront head-on. The more I delve into this subject, the more I realize these predators come from every walk of life. Child sexual predators and traffickers are not exactly the same, but they have similarities; they prey on children, and they come from every walk of life.

I spoke with a sex crimes detective who has first-hand knowledge of what is happening in our communities. We discussed who exactly is trafficking children. The detective told me, "Child predators can be and are anyone. They are business owners, respected pillars of our communities, friends, neighbors, or family. They come from all walks of life. The people fueling the child sex trade are convicted felons just as much as they are seemingly upstanding citizens. For instance, in 2014, in San Louis Obispo County, California, a local fireman became a focus in a child sex trafficking investigation. He [the fireman] first purchased sex from the underage minor and later assumed the role of trafficker as he tried to sell and distribute self-made child pornography involving the victim. In the end, a man who appeared to be an upstanding member of society was sentenced to 167 years in prison for his role in the trafficking of the minor victim."

Child victims sometimes have nowhere to go when the very people they should trust victimize them. Sandy Storm, Director of Strategic Impact of the nonprofit Deliver Fund said, "When I was being trafficked, there was a common thread connecting most of the men who purchased me or paid to rent my body. Most of them were men who I should have been able to trust. Most of them were men who I should have been able to ask for help. Most of them were men who I would have expected to rescue me from the dangerous situations I was in. These were men who had money and power. Men who were in leadership positions in the community. Men who were married and had families. Unfortunately, none of these men ever tried to help me. Instead, they saw the opportunity to use my desperate situation to get their satisfaction, which left me even more demoralized and perpetuated the hopeless cycle that I was trapped in."

Last week I moderated a panel on Human Trafficking, emphasizing the sex trade, for the International Law Enforcement Training Summit. The panel topic moved to victims being able to reach out to adults, including law enforcement. The panel had in-depth knowledge from their experiences in law enforcement and as victim advocates. They discussed that the victims often did not trust law enforcement and, even more, other adults. Why is that? Traffickers, or the adult using them, told victims that if they [victims] told law enforcement anything, they would be killed, or their family would be killed. The victims were told that they paid off law enforcement and judges. The victims believed they had nowhere to turn.

Victims need a lifeline. Whether that lifeline is law enforcement, adults, or even other children, they need help. What can you do? You can and should become educated on sex crimes that may be happening in your community, from child sexual predators to human trafficking. This goes for law enforcement as well. The signs are not clear cut, and you need to train on trends and techniques. As far as lawmakers and community leaders, the time to get of the sidelines is now. There are numerous non-profit organizations, government agencies, and community outreach programs out there for you to turn to and get educated.

Yes, the children need a lifeline.
And the predators need to be executed.

As far as lawmakers and community leaders, the time to get of the sidelines is now.

I know of one politician that is fully engaged and not on the sidelines with this.

Yes, the fear of chi;ld p[redation is so strong that they allow child traffickers to cross our Southern Border with impunity.

And if you are an old duffer flying on a plain, they make sure that no child sits next to you ,,,,the fear is very strong.

Fear....Fear....Fear....

Run for the hills everybody! The diddlers and sex perverts are among us.

And they will not even save children who are bein trafficked in California, straight from the Southern border and bussed to market courtesy of Joe Biden?

I have a right to be cynical. All they want is for People to be Fearful, The government has no ontenton of doing anything about it.

FEAR is the goal. BE AFRAID EVERYONE!

The time to get off the sidelines is now.

This piece would have been more helpful had it included specifics for the reader. If everyone can be a predator, no wonder the victims hold little if any hope. The common citizen has a reasonable reluctance to get involved when these matters involve litigation, threats, extortion, etc.

I have lifelong bitterness problems because of standing up to predators and telling them to eff off and then being punished by them. It has made me a very unpopular person.

I’m not saying that I’m perfect or sinless or any of that stuff. I’ve known so many screwed-up individuals in my life that being screwed-up seems normal to me. I shrug off things that would stun a normal person. This is a handicap, although it did give me the ability to know about/look at truly horrible things without completely losing my mind.

People who have been preyed on will almost always become predators. And they stick together; indeed, being locked together in a crime like that is what makes predation so hard to investigate and prosecute. It’s like a big club where all the members loathe and despise one another - and themselves - but their loyalty towards one another and the big sin they are hiding - that they have to hide - has to be greater than any other loyalty.

There are not many things worse than, over many years of time, knowing that a person you love has been preyed on, and then the horror of realizing that person is also a predator and using you as a shield against consequences. They will try to drag you into their crime, too - that strengthens the bond, don’t you know.

We may just have to wait for some of these people to die - they will always have a place to go to take shelter. Look at 0bama, right? He’s got rich friends all over the world, a whole network of criminal cruds who will hide him and pet him and take care of his needs, not because he’s a great guy who everybody loves, but because they’re all in the same club.

Everybody talks about “the brotherhood” of this and that being so strong: The brotherhood of cops, the brotherhood of soldiers, etc. Dunno, I’m starting to wonder if the brotherhood of perverts is going to be the last human brotherhood on earth.

One of the lay leaders of our progressive, “alternative” church outreach. It was intended to be the “gay” church but very few gays showed up.

“And the predators need to be executed.”

Yup. Go to ALL and ANY Youtube channel with ex-cons. They will all tell you straight up and no BS. There is only ONE, hands down, perp they target for death or severe dismemberment once they head to prison.

You would think murderers, rapists, embezzlers, terrorists etc. Everyone is surprised but what was explained, esp. by Youtube star ex-con Wes Watson (if you could put up with the profanity lol) once a child pedo info gets thru the population, it’s game over. Kids or their children are more valuable than their wives or money.

In many areas of societal ills there is a tendency to put a magnifying glass on the scab at the expense of calm reason. SJWs thrive on this stuff. The worse the statistics the better, because it not only justifies their work but gives them more reason to snoop and shout.

Be careful in questioning this, though, or you will be labled as a champion of predators. There is a grave danger in creating and supporting a society where the slightest charge of misdeed becomes cause for lifelong damage to ones reputation. Just ask Clarence or Brett.

A felon in prison is much more likely than not to have been abused as a child, they have every reason to not tolerate pedophiles.

Haha, so true. Some people that I lived next door to in Denver were involved in some kind of trafficking and it seemed to involve small children - they were probably using the little kids to facilitate illegal immigrants being able to get work visas or something, and probably for prostitution as well. There was never anything like a parent with them; one would see them (very young hispanic kids) in the neighbor’s yard holding hands with and sitting on the laps of what I like to call “meth cowboys” - young or middleaged men dressed in cowboy type gear, sleeves rolled all the way down and buttoned, shirts buttoned at the collar, Levis, cowboy hats, and ...... no shoes. These guys would be frolicking shoeless with little kids who were obviously not their kids. The kids would see me looking at them and say “Leave me alone! I’m working!” (That’s what I used to say to the cops when I was complaining about the constant noise: I would say to the cops, “I’m trying to work here, I have a work at home job!”)

There was obviously something not very nice going on, but I ended up being the bad guy because I complained about it. I didn’t get any sympathy from my family or friends at the time, they told me I was “hearing things.” When the same thing started at another house - it was exactly the same almost and there was clearly some meth being traded or sold there - I was also told that I was hearing things and moreover I was told that I was suicidal, so the cops were always asking me if I felt like killing myself.

What the coyotes do with little kids is horrible beyond belief. I’m pretty sure the average law enforcement officer knows about it, too. But they’re going to stick the blame on me and you and laugh at us while we try to do something about it. (Of course, a decent cop might just laugh at you too, even though his heart is breaking - because at least it’s not his kids.)

It’s like Donald Trump said: It’s not me they want, it’s you; I’m just in the way.

Girlfriend and her brother were sexually abused by her aunt and uncle that “babysat” them overnight one weekend a month for 7 years.

Most homosexuals were sexually molested as children.

They seek to normalize their behavior to make it easier to MOLEST YOUR CHILDREN.

And never leave them alone with 1 or more queer adults.
