A Texas teen accused of killing his twin sister has claimed that he was sleeping when he plunged a knife into her neck, prosecutors said Thursday.
Benjamin Elliott, 17, of Katy, told authorities that he was stunned that he wasn’t dreaming when he woke up between 2:30 a.m. and 3 a.m. Wednesday and found himself in sister Meghan Elliot’s bedroom with a knife in her neck, news station KTRK reported.
“The defendant stated after realizing he was not dreaming, he removed the knife and placed it next to the complainant, turned on the light to the bedroom and applied pressure to the wound with a pillow,” a prosecutor told the court.

Good question. I did some really weird sh*t on Ambien that I had to stop taking it.
Nothing violent but exactly like that- I would be actually doing something but thinking I was asleep.
Bulls it.
It’s not totally unrealistic if he has a diagnosable sleep disorder like sleep paralysis. Some medications can put you in a twilight-like state, too.
I’ve woken up thinking that I was dreaming physical intimacy with my husband, but ACTUALLY doing it. In those circumstances, I’m always the initiator. I tend to have extremely vivid and dirty dreams, and a history of sleep paralysis, which include hallucinations during the beginning of my sleep and wake cycles.
It’s not fun.
I was in the Navy and we were told to never touch anyone to wake them. Kind of made sense...
The prescription drug Ambien, normally used to induce sleep, also leads to a far different bedroom activity — wild sex.
That lesser-known use of the drug made headlines last week when it was reported that one of Tiger Woods’ reputed gal pals, Rachel Uchitel, is said to have told a friend the pair had “crazy Ambien sex.”
............so, the knife, all by itself, flew from a drawer in the kitchen down the hall into the bedroom then into Benjamin’s hand even though Benjamin admitted he was asleep whereupon he stabbed his sister not just anyplace but in the neck even though he was asleep when he did it...............
Bullshit!

This holds true for the lowest of criminal charges (Class C Misdemeanors) up to capital murder. Texas law states that once a child reaches the age of 17, he or she can now be tried as an adult.
I’d wait for the death certificate... it may say covid and then he can walk free.
I have a life-ling history of sleep-walking, and doing somewhat complicated things in my sleep. For example, I once woke up on top of furniture, with an unscrewed lightbulb in my hands.
“Things like this make me believe in demons...”
Muffled her screams with a pillow is more likely
They even put in a express lane
Truth is sometimes stranger than fiction, but he should have a documented history of this sleeping walking. If not then it is BS. I’ll wait to see what other evidence sows up to either confirm or deny such previous incidences.
Was he vaxed and hallucinating?
Holidays just became awkward.
I’m glad these things didn’t happen back when my brother and I were growing up. I might not be here. We did not like each other at all.
When I was a kid I was apparently a sleep-walker at least once. The only incident anyone ever told me about was a night when I walked to the front door, unlocked it, and tried to go outside.
Parents, who were still up, led me back to bed without waking me, and I recalled nothing about it, even after they told me.
I’m not aware of it ever happening again; but it seems to be something that happens often to some people.
oNo no no ... you take LSD before supper on a empty stomach, not after.
At least they caught him now before he had a chance to go cray-cray on an unsuspecting world.
Not to take away from the seriousness of this evil but reminds me anyway of....
I’m Only Sleeping (The Beatles on Revolver)
Everybody seems to think I’m lazy
I don’t mind, I think they’re crazy
Runnin’ everywhere at such a speed
‘Til they find there’s no need (there’s no need)
Please, don’t spoil my day
I’m miles away
And after all
I’m only sleeping
Keepin’ an eye on the world going by my window
Takin’ my time
Lyin’ there and staring at the ceiling
Waiting for a sleepy feeling
Keepin’ an eye on the world going by my window
Takin’ my time
When I wake up early in the morning
Lift my head, I’m still yawning
When I’m in the middle of a dream
Stay in bed, float up stream
Please, don’t wake me
No, don’t shake me
Leave me where I am
I’m only sleeping
