On Wednesday, Mike Pompeo, who served as both CIA Director and Secretary of State during the Trump administration, disputed Joint Chiefs of Staff Chairman Gen. Mark Milley’s testimony in front of lawmakers this week, saying that Milley’s claims were not accurate.
Pompeo made the remarks during an interview on SiriusXM’s “The Megyn Kelly Show” with host Megyn Kelly in response to Milley’s claim that he briefed Pompeo, then-White House Chief of Staff Mark Meadows, and then-acting Defense Secretary Christopher Miller about his call with China.
Pompeo had the following exchange with Kelly:
POMPEO: You know, I think the disconnect here, Megyn, is the subject. What was actually said. I haven’t seen General Milley knock down what Woodward and Costa wrote. Having said that, I know Woodward and Costa well enough to know that you should take everything they write with an enormous grain of salt … The fact that General Milley chose to speak with them at such great length, I find deeply troubling. But in any event, someone needs to explain what’s the disconnect. I heard what General Milley said, he actually talked about on the call with his Chinese counterparts. And I’ve read what has been reportedly going to be in this book. Those aren’t remotely the same, and I think that’s what it gets to.
I have no recollection of General Milley briefing me in the way that he described. But if he said, “Hey, I spoke with my Chinese counterparts yesterday,” that wouldn’t have been something particularly memorable. It would have been relatively ordinary course. I spoke with my Chinese counterparts from time to time as well. Every senior leader in America would do that, but it’s the substance, Megyn. This is what you got to, and what I saw some of the questions about yesterday...

I saw that Curly, Moe and Larry were on tv today.
I was wondering when someone would point out how at odds Milley’s testimony was with what he told Woodward
I’d certainly take Pompeo’s word over Milley
Substance is not the domain of the left. Appearances and feelings are.
Matt Gaetz to Milley “You spent more time meeting with Bob Woodward than you did analyzing how quickly Kabul would fall.”
“ I’d certainly take Pompeo’s word over Milley”
I’d take Milley’s going right to dots right hand man the only one he could trust in 5 years in all of this, save rudy, and say he was lying just for that fact
He should talk to his counterparts, but he should not talk to
them about blocking his CiC’s nuclear response decisions.
This might lead to him revealing facts and processes the
Chinese have no business of knowing.
He was worried about Trump’s mental condition? It seems to
me this calls Milley’s mental condition into question.
It’s certainly beyond his duties, and could have jeopardized
our national security.
It could have also influenced the Chinese to take action
at becoming alarmed that Trump might ‘do something’ along
the lines of our nuclear weaponry.
After all, an insider like Milley should know...
It’s really unsettling this situation.
It’s almost as unsettling as realizing Biden is the man
that is in control of our nuclear deterrence, and there
is no question about his mental health.
Pompeo originally made it sound that Milley went out on his own. That turned out that was not true.
Now Pompeo is changing his story and now saying what Milley said is not exactly what was told to Pompeo.
I think Pompeo is the one with a credibly problem right now.
Giving comfort and aid to the enemy, lying to your superiors…. There’s a word for that….. it’s a word that used to mean something…..
What was it again……?
Thanks mole.
I like when you freaks out yourselves.
Release the transcript!
More perjury from Harris/Biden.
Someone posted this on another thread I thought it could go here too:
I think Pompeo is a solid patriot and so did DJT.
“I think Pompeo is the one with a credibly problem right now.”
If you say that, it is only because Milley does not have a credibility problem since he has no credibility at all.
High Drama...
I still like Mike.
Pompeo/DeSantis
