The intense coverage of the Gabby Petito case has helped bring apparent closure to the family of a Texas man who went missing in Wyoming, where the Long Island native’s body was found, according to a report.
The last trace from Robert Lowery, 46, a father of two from Houston, was reportedly a ping from his cellphone in Jackson on Aug. 23.
Lowery was seen on video from Aug. 19 at a restaurant at Jackson Hole Mountain Resort in Teton Village. He was last spotted the following day in Bridger-Teton National Forest, where Petito’s body was found Sept. 19, CNN reported, citing the Teton County Sheriff’s Office.

You need to visit in Late August when the season starts.....
Liz Cheney needs to visit ‘home’ more often.....................
She’s coming to NH on Thursday. I would love to go heckle but I have to work.
Throughout the areas searched for these two 8 bodies have been discovered...this would make 9 now.
It’s worth a vacation day.......................

Stack’m like cords of wood on the side of the road.
At least they found one more person, although the news is sad.
After the Petito story hit the news, the news mentioned that this man (Lowery) and the other man (McLaughlin) went missing this summer in the same area that she did.
I don’t promote suicide but I can see where a suicidal person who does not want to be found might go deep into the woods and so do.
People that don’t know the area roaming around in the wilderness is not a good idea.
Another “Alone” watcher here. It’s amazing how quickly things can go bad when you’re out on your own in the wilderness. Even for people who are hard-core survivalists; one wrong step, one slip into freezing water with no fire nearby, one meal of something that seems “okay” but really isn’t... and this can happen mere steps away from a trail or campsite. Nature is not forgiving.
It’s a comfort to know that this family at least has been given closure.
So often, the “Alone” participant is taken out by isolation and the absolute emotional need to be with their loved ones.
What seems like some of the toughest men, eventually crumble when thinking of home, family and cannot go on.
